Automated message to bot owners edit

As a result of discussion on the village pump and mailing list, bots are now allowed to edit up to 15 times per minute. The following is the new text regarding bot edit rates from Wikipedia:Bot Policy:

Until new bots are accepted they should wait 30-60 seconds between edits, so as to not clog the recent changes list and user watchlists. After being accepted and a bureaucrat has marked them as a bot, they can edit at a much faster pace. Bots doing non-urgent tasks should edit approximately once every ten seconds, while bots who would benefit from faster editing may edit approximately once every every four seconds.

Also, to eliminate the need to spam the bot talk pages, please add Wikipedia:Bot owners' noticeboard to your watchlist. Future messages which affect bot owners will be posted there. Thank you. --Mets501 00:43, 22 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sufficiency economy problem edit

I think this bot added an interwiki link (th:เศรษฐกิจพอเพียง) to Sufficiency economy, but the article Sufficiency economy had no text in it. This should not happen. Cheers.--Commander Keane 04:40, 22 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

RfA edit

Youir bot appears to be trying to vote at RfA. Not helpful.--Anthony.bradbury 01:29, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Apologize for this. I have added the code to stop the bot from doing so. --Jutiphan | Talk - 20:03, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ordering of interlanguage links edit

Your bot broke the alphabetical ordering of interlanguage links: [1]. Shouldn't the bot not be doing this? —Tokek (talk) 14:18, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Template interwiki edit

This bot preformed this edit to Template:Update. The interwiki link added was then further transcluded. I suggest the bot be reprogrammed to deal with templates, or to avoid them completely. Rami R 16:21, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Query edit

I need help renaming about 200 articles. Doing this by hand would take me all day.

Can your bot rename articles, or be adapted to do so?

If so, please contact me.

Thank you.

Voicemail edit

Could you review what the bot did at Voicemail. It appeared to already have th:จดหมายเสียง as an interwiki, the bot tried to insert and ended up truncating the article. I've reverted. (John User:Jwy talk) 21:25, 4 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Apologize for the issue. Due to POST issues for the 3-4 days couple of days ago, I rewrote the save function, however unable to test properly making it not support saving changes for large articles. I have since stopped the bot, continue the development to fix the issue, and tested on Thai Wikipedia and it is now working correctly. Please unblock the bot so that it can resume the normal operation as usual. Thanks.

Accept reason:

I have unblocked - please test first and cofirm with the Bot Approvals Group before resuming full-out (✉→BWilkins←✎) 17:35, 29 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
