2. External links should not normally be used in the body of an article.[1] Instead, include appropriate external links in an "External links" section at the end of the article, and in the appropriate location within an infobox, if applicable. 3. Links in the "External links" section should be kept to a minimum. A lack of external links or a small number of external links is not a reason to add external links. 4. In the "External links" section, try to avoid separate links to multiple pages in the same website; instead, try to find an appropriate linking page within the site.
In a biographical article, an "appropriate external link" is most emphatically NOT any external site somehow associated with the subject of the biography - even sites for businesses the subject has founded - but instead only those sites that are pertinent to the personal biography of the subject; "pertinent" in the sense that they will provide further biographical information about the subject. For example, there is no external link to the main Facebook page for Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg; there's an external link to his personal Facebook page, and links to further sources of information about him personally. Same for Steve Jobs; no external link to www.apple.com itself; but there's a direct link to Jobs' company biography.
In other words, the External links section of the article may have links to additional biographic material about Reiss, in addition to links to any "official" pages he maintains about himself. Official pages of organizations he's associated with (that aren't about him biographically) should not be linked. Studerby (talk) 00:09, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
