Speedy deletion nomination of Margie Hines

edit

A tag has been placed on Margie Hines requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Ann Rothschild

edit

A tag has been placed on Ann Rothschild requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Mae Questel

edit

Please do not copy and paste material from other websites as this is almost always an infringement of copyright, per Wikipedia:Copyright. Also, if another editor changes one of your edits, which I have now done twice, with an explanation, it is not acceptable that you immediately revert back. The material you have added is not appropriate in its current form, but if you wish to use the external source and reword the material into your own words, that would be acceptable. Please do not restore this information again. Rossrs (talk) 21:09, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Boop voice artist articles

edit

Hi. I notice you've created a series of articles on the artists who were the voice of Betty Boop. Thanks for these - comapred to onscreen performers, voice artists are an often neglected part of Wikipedia's coverage. However, there are some problems which have led to most of the articles being removed.

The first is that some appear to be "cut and pastes" from other websites. Wikipedia can't accept articles like this, because they may be copyright violations. Instead of cutting and pasting from other pages, all you need to do is rewrite the material in your own words, and this issue would normally be resolved.

The other problem is the articles need references from reliable sources, as well as an indication of why these artists are notable. I don't doubt these people were the voices for Betty Boop over the years, but that alone might not be enough to justify separate articles about them, particularly when there are very few other details about their lives.

All of this is just suggestions for ensuring that if you recreate the articles, they don't get deleted a second time. Please let me know if I can help with any of the above, or if you disagree with my view of the problems with these pages. And once again, thanks for creating them in the first place, even if there's a bit more work required to make them stick. Euryalus (talk) 01:48, 6 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your multiple accounts

edit

Hi. It looks very much to me as if User:Missymay02, User:Mariahlovesyou, User:Lovelovelovelovemarge are you as well, since you edited the same articles and write in precisely the same way. You should know that it's Wikipedia policy that everyone should have only one account, and not edit from multiple accounts at the same time, which is referred to here as sockpuppetry. Continuing to do so after this policy has been pointed out to you can lead to your being blocked from editing in the future.

I suggest that you pick which of these accounts, and any others that you have created, you want to use, and shut the other ones down permanently. Let me know if I can be of any assistance to you in doing this. Best, Beyond My Ken (talk) 00:44, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/BoopBoopaDoop where you can comment on your use of multiple accounts. Beyond My Ken (talk) 01:22, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Per the above sockpuppet investigation, it has been established that you were operating at least eight different accounts and using them to edit similar articles. This is prohibited by policy, see WP:SOCK for details. I have blocked all of the accounts indefinitely. You may request an unblock of one of the accounts by placing {{unblock|reason}} on that account's talk page. Please limit yourself to that account only. Any additional accounts you create will be blocked. Thank you. Tim Song (talk) 02:59, 2 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
