Ellywa 12:45, 20 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hi Boneyard, The reason I did it as a list and not as category is because lists give the option to be updated and modified... as the list contains total count of number ones, I (or anyone else) would not be able to change the counts if it was in category form. Also, the nature of the artists (particularly the dance artists) leads to a bunch of redirects because of pseudonyms and aliases, so in these cases a list works better. As far as it being "intrusive," that is not how I perceived it. If anything, I felt it was good to add as much info as I could to the artists' pages, even if it was a "see also" header (and before doing so I did look to see that there are other "lists" that show up in "see also" sections on multiple pages, such as "list of best-selling artists"). Not at whole lot is known about a bunch of the artists, but as this is a continuing project I'm working on, I do plan to expand many of the articles as I do more research into their subjects. Hope that kinda helps to explain where I was coming from. eo 12:24, 9 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Tila Nguyen pic

edit

This is Tila Tequila we're talking about here. It isn't very easy to find a pic of her which she isn't posing provocatively, yet alone a headshot. I think the pic I used is good enough for the article, because it has more details on her face than others. But I see what you mean, the way the pic was shot makes her look a lil busty. LOL! --LBMixPro<Speak|on|it!> 10:42, 29 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

I wish we still had the last one as well, but the problem with it was that it was a scan from a magazine's photoshoot. WP wouldn't accept it if we tried. Since this one is a pic from Tila's MySpace, I'm hoping that it'll last long. The last thing we want is an empty "Photo" field. --LBMixPro<Speak|on|it!> 10:57, 29 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
Well, I just asked Tila through a MySpace message if we can use the pic here, and she said " great choice! Yes...you may use that one... ". I guess it's cool if we can crop it, or whatever. --LBMixPro<Speak|on|it!> 03:06, 30 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Familiar Name

edit

Haven't I seen you in Asheron's Call somewhere? I used to play that game in High School. My last server was Verdantine, and I don't remember my main's name there anymore. What was your server and main?

I think I've also seen you in the official Turbine Forums sometimes. --Shultz III 20:02, 27 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Deleting

edit

Hi, please don't delete factual content without discussion. Especialy if someone RV'd your deletion. The Wikipedia guideline is to re-write, not remove. If you feel the information is either unrelated to the article, or so trivial it should not be mentioned, raise the issue on the talk page to get concensus to support removing it. --Barberio 15:19, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

This was meant in general, but prompted by your deletes on World of Warcraft. Even *if* you belive something is uncited, you should discuss it on the talk page. Blizzard *did* offer 'Seasonal Gift' guest passes, on an 'induce someone to sign up, and earn a free month' promotion method. --Barberio 15:49, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Actually, WP:V states, "2. Editors adding new material to an article should cite a reputable source, or it may be removed by any editor." Since no such reputable source was cited, Boneyard was more than justified in removing the material. The real problem here though, is that you seem to be on some sort of holy crusade with this material. He wasn't the only one to remove the line in question from the article. The information removed wasn't something critical to the articles integrity, it was simply one line of uncited information seemingly placed randomly into the article. While your solution to rework the line into a previous paragraph is preferable, Boneyard's solution was equally viable, especially considering the triviality of the information. --Hetar 18:43, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Issue wasnt that the information was uncited. (A simple google search turned up a copy of the email I receved myself) The information was removed for being 'trivial', citation issue came up after the first revert. --Barberio 11:33, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Joen and Google

edit

Hi,

Well, the only reason for that was, i wasn't sure if we should put google picture on this page, but wanted to make sure that when someone clicks, it would surely present the google's specially created picture...

Well, I ment that google would remove the picture by the end of the day, how do we make sure that the link remains valid (the pic should still show up) .Chirag 19:01, 20 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bertine Zetlitz Fan Site

edit

Hello there, I noticed your post in the Bertine Zetlitz page about a fan site. I have just started one up at http://www.bertine.st. Only the forum is up right now but I am hoping to get people to help any way possible so it can be a full-fledged fan site for her! ItalianGreyhound 23:55, 6 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Psych Onation

edit

The article Psych Onation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced article since 2006, band do not seem to meet notability criteria per WP:BAND

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
