Montserrat national team edit

Hi there - unfortunately I don't know much about the Montserrat national team, I just have a general interest in football. If you want some more information, here are a couple of websites for you:

Hope this helps! GiantSnowman 23:27, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yep thanks mate trying to edit players now so people can read about them but im not sure on how to get the box with clubs exc.. so its a bit boring lol, thanks!!

If you are creating articles about living people, it is vital that you include reliable sources (such as those above) in order that we can verify information. I've improved your article on Clifford Joseph - why not use that as a basic template while you're still learning the ropes? I'm a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Football (you may be interested in joining?) and we have produced a style guide for player articles - take a look! Any more questions, problems, comments, then feel free to ask, I will watch this page for any responses. Thanks and regards, GiantSnowman 23:35, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

how do i link to a source used mate?

OK, for basic sourcing, next to the information you are sourcing, add some <ref></ref> tags, then put the web address within the ref tags. Then make sure you add something like

==References==
{{Reflist}}

at the end of the article, so that the reference displays. More information can be found at Wikipedia:Citing sources. Cheers, GiantSnowman 23:48, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

i edied Alex Dyer and Wayne Dyer have i done it right?

Almost - you need to add the <ref>www.whatever.com</ref> into the actual article, not just the 'edit summary' box... GiantSnowman 23:58, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

i seriously dont no how to use the refs i tried to make a page for the Montserrat players unavaible but whenevr i used ref then copy and paste link of info it dont work :/

Don't be discouraged - why not use the Micah Hilton article as a template? The set-up on that article is fine, all you need to do is change the info and link for the new article! GiantSnowman 00:14, 26 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

i will but how do i refrence stuff i keep adding link and it says cant do it need refincece

Are you adding the

==References==
{{Reflist}}

at the end of the article? That will display the reference... GiantSnowman 00:20, 26 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Micah Hilton edit

The article Micah Hilton has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Montserratian footballers edit

Hi there, I have just created the following articles on Montserratian footballers:

However, McPherson Meade hasn't yet appeared for the national team and therefore isn't notable enough for his own article -yet! Hope this helps, as ever, if you have any questions then just ask. Cheers, GiantSnowman 11:50, 26 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
