Your draft article, Draft:Dawn Robertson

Hello, Bobbyshabangu. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Dawn Robertson".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Lapablo (talk) 21:35, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Lihawu Secondary School concern

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Lihawu Secondary School, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:24, 1 March 2020 (UTC)

Nomination of Muthoni Drummer Queen for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Muthoni Drummer Queen is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Muthoni Drummer Queen until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Fuddle (talk) 13:02, 28 June 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Zoe Modiga

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Zoe Modiga requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Tembisa or Thembisa?

Hi, Bobby. I trust everything is well. I see you moved Tembisa to Thembisa. Are you sure it's Thembisa? I can remember seeing Tembisa on the road signs there in Gauteng. Thoughts? Best, LefcentrerightDiscuss 14:37, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Thanks we are safe this side. And yes it's been misspelled since the time of apartheid, in that regard many townships with African were codified that way in government records. This doesn't mean that the people who live in these township use the wrong spelling, they do put the "h" when writing Thembisa. Government has finally recognised this and they are changing the names. Please read more in the link below. [1] In KwaZulu Natal alone these are the names that misspelled:
  • UPhongolo not Pongola
  • UThongathi not Tongaat
  • UMkhomazi not Mkomaas
  • UMlaza not uMlazi
  • Ezinqoleni not Ezingolweni
  • ESikhaleni not Esikhawini
  • EMbokodweni not Mbongitwini
  • Ingovuma not Ingwavuma
  • EMthenteni not Umtentweni
  • IXobho not Ixopo
  • UMngeni not uMgeni

Hi, Bobby. That is quite interesting to note. I don't speak Swazi, but I would love to contribute to the Swazi Wikipedia in the area of South African politics. Can you maybe assist with translations? Best wishes, LefcentrerightDiscuss 15:54, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Matola Raid

Hello Bobbyshabangu,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Matola Raid for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Proposed deletion of Murder of Tshegofatso Pule

The article Murder of Tshegofatso Pule has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:ONEEVENT

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Dan arndt (talk) 02:03, 30 July 2022 (UTC)

Thanks @Mccapra will improve this. And I'm glad that instead of tagging the article for speedy deletion you moved it to Draft. I remember @Dan ardnt, suggesting that "as the article’s author you would be better moving it to a draft until you are able to show it demonstrates notability." This made me think about how unfriendly that was to especially newbies on Wikipedia who may not know how to move an article to a draft space. Luckily I'm not a newbie, but I do advocate that if you happen to see that an article is not fit rather remove it to Draft for the newbie after of course checking their edit history and verifying that they do no harm. Speedy deletion of National English Literary Museum

The page National English Literary Museum has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review. Hello, Bobbyshabangu,
I don't think you should be doing any page moves. First you moved an article to User space (wrong). Then you corrected this mistake by moving an article to project/Wikipedia space (double mistake). And you just left the article in project space! You didn't even fix your bad page moves. It's one think to make a mistake, which we all do, but at least you could realize when you've made a mistake and fix it yourself so other editors don't have to clean up after you. I think it's better to just stay away from page moves until you understand the difference between namespaces on Wikipedia. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:12, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
Hello @Liz,
Thanks for reverting this page back to where it was, in fact, reverting it to what it was is something I was trying to do after realising that I can't move it to the new name of what the library is now called. Bobbyshabangu talk 03:08, 10 March 2023 (UTC)

Hello,

I've moved Event:Afrocuration 2023 into your userspace at User:Bobbyshabangu/Event:Afrocuration 2023. The structure of the page looks like it was intended as a project page, but we don't have an "Event" namespace, so your page went straight into mainspace.

Event coordinator right=

After reviewing your request for the "eventcoordinator" permission, I have enabled the flag on your account. Keep in mind these things:

  • The event coordinator right removes the limit on the maximum number of new accounts that can be created in a 24-hour period.
  • The event coordinator right allows you to temporarily add the "confirmed" permission to newly created accounts. You should not grant this for more than 10 days.
  • The event coordinator right is not a status symbol. If it remains unused, it is likely to be removed. Abuse of the event coordinator right will result in its removal by an administrator.
  • Please note, if you were previously a member of the "account creator" group, your flag may have been converted to this new group.

If you no longer require the right, let me know, or ask any other administrator. Drop a note on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of the event coordinator right. Happy editing! Sadads (talk) 13:08, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

Thank you so much. We will be running this event for 2 days and I will definitely let you know if I run into troubles. Bobbyshabangu talk 13:17, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
