Welcome!

Hello, BobHiggs, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!

Hey Bob, noticed your little note over on Shawn Harris, I thought I might point out some things for you: 1. You should put that note about him meeting criteria on the discussion page 2. If you can establish his notability (since you seem to understand the policies, no easy task, and I applaud you for looking for them despite being new), cite it on the page. If someone tries to Speedy Delete it, simply place the {{hangon}} template on the page. Generally, most of the admins are pretty reasonable that way. Good luck! The Jeff Dunham Show edit

Hi. Please do not add unsourced material, or your own personal opinions to articles, as you did with this edit to The Jeff Dunham Show, as doing so violates Wikipedia's policies on Verifiability, WP:Original Research and Neutrality. You did not provide any verifiable, reliable source for the assertion regarding viewer ratings, and the statement made in response to the material derived from the critics review is not only your personal opinion, it is demonstrably untrue, as that material is derived directly from the critics' reviews that are sourced in that passage, which you would see if you read them. If you need any other help or have questions regarding editing or the site's policies, feel free to ask. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 05:15, 4 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Women's history editathon edit

Hey - Sorry for the late notice, but since you have yourself tagged as living in the Bay Area, I thought you might appreciate notification that we’re having an event Saturday! It’ll be held at Hoyt Hall, an all-women's house of the Berkeley Student Cooperative from 3 to 6 pm tomorrow. The main event page is here. Anyone is welcome to show up, but we’re expecting a significant number of people to come who have literally never edited Wikipedia before. If you’re an experienced Wikipedian who would be able to provide useful help to some of the newbies, your presence would be especially appreciated (and it might be a good idea for you to show up at 2 or 2:30 instead of three. Thanks, Kevin Gorman (talk) 02:00, 6 April 2013 (UTC) I’m AWB’ing this message to all Wikipedians who have tagged themselves in the bay area. I’m sorry if the message isn’t of interest to you; feel free to delete it. I’ll be unlikely to send future messages in a similar way, but if really don’t want to receive future messages of this sort, please let me know. Reply
