Your introduction to this useful list says:

"Essentially anything that is wieldable, excluding "modern" (post civil war) firearms."

Which civil war do you refer to? There have been quite a lot throughout history. I feel some disambiguation is needed here.

A case could be made for modern firearms dating to the introduction of breech loading rifles such as the 1836 Dreyse needle gun, or perhaps the automatic rifle - such as the unsuccessful 1900 Cei-Rigotti or the very effective 1917 Browning_Automatic_Rifle. Henry VIII had a breech loading hunting gun, it seems. Does that count as modern?
