Welcome to Wikipedia!

edit

Hello Blidgood, welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed nobody had said hi, and though I would.

Here are some tips:

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alf 16:43, 1 September 2005 (UTC).Reply

My opinion only, if you and the other editor working on it agree on a better introduction line, (I'm a bit confused by it, I must admit), take the tag off and note it on the talk page when you are both happy with it. I've asked the editor who posted the tag this morning to have another look. Alf 19:30, 1 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

oh and once you've taken the tag off, use the "watch" feature, if someone else feels it needs more, they'll note it. Check your "my watchlist" occasionally to see what's changed in what you've marked. Alf 20:26, 1 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Blidgood! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 400 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Paul Connerton - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
