Hi! I was notified that you had posted content in your draft that was taken from another source, specifically some of Gable's websites. I wanted to warn you that this is seen as a copyright violation even if this was only posted there as a form of note taking, so you want to avoid doing that on Wikipedia. In general everything is considered to be copyrighted unless the content is specifically marked as being in the public domain or released under a compatible Creative Commons license.

On a side note, I saw that you were going to contact Gable - are you reaching out in search of more sourcing or for permission to use the material from his websites? If you're looking for sourcing, make sure that the sourcing would be considered a reliable source on Wikipedia - information that he gave you via e-mail (ie, him answering questions) wouldn't be considered reliable on Wikipedia. As far as the permission to use material goes, in order to use the content Gable would have to file a permission ticket through the Volunteer Response Team first, so I'd recommend putting everything in your own words as that would be much easier.

I would also like for you to review the module on plagiarism and copyright violations, thanks. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:21, 30 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
