I see the reason I left Wikipedia: BetacommandBot (and it's owner) were banned so after 8 years - I'm back.

Well done, you've won. I simply can't be bothered anymore. I've read so many comments from people who said things like "how does it stop people contributing to Wikipedia?" I think you don't understand how much bad feeling the 'you-know-who' bot is creating and the subsequent defense of it.

PS: Above image was created by myself, I release it into the free domain or whatever, but who knows, maybe it's illegal, I'm not a lawyer ....

Maybe see you again in Wikipedia 2.0

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Babelgum Logo.gif) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Babelgum Logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. MfD nomination of User:Bleveret/Userbox/BCBruin edit

User:Bleveret/Userbox/BCBruin, a page you created, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Bleveret/Userbox/BCBruin and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Bleveret/Userbox/BCBruin during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. lol wut edit

Can you explain this edit? Octane [improve me] 03.03.08 1411 (UTC)

ummmm, no, sorry - messed up there. Looks likes hitting 'edit this page' whilst checking a page history doesn't bring up the source for the current revision. Sorry again --Bleveret (talk) 18:47, 3 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Editing your userpage edit

Editors have the right to remove offensive material from userpages. You've twice recreated a userbox that was deleted here. Such recreation is disruptive, and if you continue, you may be blocked. Nyttend (talk) 15:27, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • I don't know. Personally, if Bleveret states a position against something without attacking a particular person, I don't see a big problem with it. Bleveret seemed to address this in the recreation by just calling it "ruin" rather than "BCBruin" and the new userbox did not mention anyone. --Hammersoft (talk) 15:37, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
    • I've haven't twice recreated a userbox that was deleted. I've created a new userbox with a different wording to bring it inline with the 'perceived' wikipedia policy. You are deleting pages on a whim... I'm sure that is not policy. If you feel the new page is still not within policy you should submit it as per your policy for speedy deletion. --Bleveret (talk) 16:11, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've looked at the 2nd version of the userbox and I personally think that it's okay. It states an opinion but it is not directed at any one person/bot. ScarianCall me Pat 17:54, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Blocked edit

I have blocked you for 24 hours for disruption. You have constantly recreated a trolling userbox after being warned by many admins. You've had your appeal to DRV and it was rejected. Now, knock it off. I, or another admin, will happily unblock you earlier that 24 hours if you indicate that you will desist.--Docg 00:15, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • As noted above and elsewhere, I think the userbox he is creating now is ok. It does not identify a particular person. It's polemical, but so are many other boxes. I think this block is out of line. --Hammersoft (talk) 01:33, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • The action taken against this user seems to be extreme and abusive. The userbox he created was not the same one that was deleted per an MfD (not clear consensus, but that was the closing admin's opinion). Enigma msg! 01:34, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I unblocked you. You are not a troll and a 24 hour block is disproportionate to the perceived offense. —Remember the dot (talk) 05:16, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Thank you for the unblock, however the fact remains that the new version of my box has been deleted again by 'Doc'. Can I be BOLD and recreate (the revised version - that fixed all the perceived negatives of the previous) or will I get called a troll again? This whole thing is really such a stupid, little argument but I don't see why i must "desist" and give up my principles (and wikipedia's) --Bleveret (talk) 14:10, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • I'd suggest taking it up at WP:AN/I. Recreating it at this point, without getting uninvolved admin input, would probably be viewed very poorly regardless of how 'right' or 'wrong' you may or may not be. --Hammersoft (talk) 14:17, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bleveret, I may raise this at ANI myself. I'm waiting for a response from someone else. Would you mind waiting a bit if you are considering taking this further? Carcharoth (talk) 14:50, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oops. Too late. Still, I've commented there. Carcharoth (talk) 14:59, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I restored User:Bleveret/Userbox/ruin. I don't think that anyone will try and use the speedy deletion criteria on it again. —Remember the dot (talk) 17:26, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image source problem with Image:The Richest Man in Babylon Album cover.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:The Richest Man in Babylon Album cover.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:37, 24 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr If you've written a quality article... 17:37, 24 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
