Welcome!

Hello, Blade0521, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hello, many apologies for the reverts and the slight confusions. I am new to the Wikipedia community and still getting familiar with how it works. The reason for my revert is because I had added additional sources. It would be nice to have this section reviewed again by yourself as it is a very important piece of information regarding the artist. Thank you very much for all your help! Best regards, Trinity Blade0521 (talk) 03:45, 16 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

You've been asked about your connection with your subject, probably because your username contains your subject's name. If you have a connection, you need to disclose it. If you don't have a connection, simply state that you don't.
The album covers in your draft are a problem, since they are considered copyrighted, hence, non-free content. Non-free content cannot appear in a draft in any case and once you have an accepted article you can use album cover art for an article about the album but not an article about the artist. Uploading the album covers to Commons as "own work" was a mistake. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 04:16, 16 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello,
thank you so much for your quick response!
My connection to the artist is that he is a very close friend of mine, but not in anyway accustomed to computers and the internet. This is a favor that I am doing for him and he is supplying me with all the materials including the original album cover files. My next move is indeed to create an article for every major album release, so will bear this information in mind. He tells me that he does indeed own the rights to all the covers. all the rights except for "the unknown". Blade0521 (talk) 04:33, 16 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
You will need to properly disclose that conflict of interest. It seems clear to me that you did not follow the links in the template above, and read the relevant guidelines. Please do so. Drmies (talk) 12:25, 16 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi there,
Thank you so much for your prompt response to my article entry.
I am completely understanding of your judgement regarding Amazon and last.fm as a unreliable source. I was sure to have deleted those sources a while back but must have overlooked certain areas.
However, regarding Youtube, yes it is indeed user generated, however the content linked as a reference to this article is coming directly from the anecdotes of the artist in question through an official channel using Youtube as a media outlet. So what exactly differentiates a News channel via Youtube and a TV network? What makes one more reliable than the other? Are there ways to manually reference a news channel via Youtube using the same referencing method as a general cable network? Is it a case of simply removing a direct Youtube link as a reference?
Regarding discogs and imdb. They are user generated, peer-reviewed conservative and precise libraries, using similar models such as wikipedia. What could be a more reliable source to confirm vinyl record releases? Discogs is considered an almost scientific reference within the music community. I am also certain to have even read within one of the wikipedia advice articles that it was indeed deemed a reliable source. As it rightly should. Thank you so much for any help or review you can provide.
Best,
