Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles, as you did with Black Tony. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. -- Omicronpersei8 18:57, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. Black Tonys 7 article

edit

As before, please do not remove speedy deletion tags. If you wish to dispute a tag, please add {{hangon}} to the article, at the top, just under the other tag. And as you'll find at What Wikipedia is not, this encyclopaedia isn't for soapboxing. It may not be paper, but there are still limits on encyclopaedic content.

Otherwise, happy editing! -- (James McNally)  (talkpage)  19:59, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please keep discussion of possible deletions to the article's talkpage, as otherwise it clutters the mainspace. And I'm afraid that, whileyou do seem to have edited the article, it remains not notable - this is an official wiki policy. -- (James McNally)  (talkpage)  20:02, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
OK, now that we have your article moved to your userpage, you're free to edit it there. It's just the main articlespace that has these restrictions. If yo want any help, I'd be glad to - see my talkpage if you have any questions. -- (James McNally)  (talkpage)  20:05, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

The problem with this setup is that Black Tony is still alive, and those who share in his adventures need to be able to post them at their will for all to see. I will not always be here to carry on the legend that is Black Tony.

Indeed; however, Wikipedia still cannot publish non-notable articles in the mainspace. If the popularity of this becomes sufficient to warrant a mainspace article, then such people will be able to edit; if not, then there will be few such people in any case. User pages can be edited by people other than the user, it's just not standard practice, nor is it usual to include a great deal of info relating to that user's non-wikipedia activities. Also, please sign your posts - there's a button to do it in the edit pane, or you can type 4 tildes. Thanks. -- (James McNally)  (talkpage)  00:58, 25 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

So, now you're all set up, I'll give you a useful table of wiki-related info. It'll be in the following subpage:

A useful information table

Hope it comes in handy. -- (James McNally)  (talkpage)  20:09, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
