Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, BlacklilyofKoN. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Quantum ontology, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Polyamorph (talk) 20:33, 8 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

I did not write any of the Quantum Ontology article, as I was provided with the information and sources from the client that I was creating the article for. All I have done for it was proofread the content, and then create the article itself. Hence why I was trying to figure out what all would need to be done so that way I could find out if my client has the information for it. BlacklilyofKoN (talk) 04:00, 9 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Who exactly is your client? The author of the books you reference the article to? Per the wikifoundation Terms of Use (here), you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. His name is Tom Powell on the site that I am working with him through, which now that I look at it, is the same as two of the books on the sources list: Essentiality I and Essentiality II by Thomas Mycall Powell. BlacklilyofKoN (talk) 23:25, 9 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Articles I Have been Asked To Create With Promise Of Compensation

edit

Quantum Ontology by Tom Powell via Upwork for an agreed-upon price of $50 once the article was accepted. I do not know of any other affiliations that he has with the content he wanted me to put into the page, and he provided me with all the material and sources.
