  Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to A. Sauvage. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you.   Hello, Black2basics, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Specifically, you appear to have also used the accounts Ridinghorsestreet (talk · contribs) and Ebarobertson (talk · contribs). Cabayi (talk) 10:37, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Black2basics. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page A. Sauvage, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See WP:PAID.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Your contributions here and on commons suggest that you are in fact Adrien Sauvage, and that you are using Wikipedia to advertise yourself and your business. Speedy deletion nomination of A. Sauvage

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on A. Sauvage, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Request reason:

I apologise. The warnings did not come in, until about 4-5 hours after I had finished all my edits, by that time I was sleeping and by the time I woke up I saw that the pages were deleted and my account was blocked. I didn't know about the required declaration of conflict of interest. I don't use multiple accounts nor have any recollection of the other wikipedia accounts that you mention. Thank you for your understanding, none of this will happen again.

Accept reason:

Unblocking per the discussion below - user agrees to abide by WP:COI, avoid promotional editing, and comply with WP:PAID if appropriate, as conditions of unblock. ST47 (talk) 06:19, 10 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Black2basics — thank you for your clarifications! Since you seem to have registered this account for the purpose of creating A. Sauvage, may we inquire what you would edit (now that you are aware of the WP:PAID policy) were you to be unblocked? Chetsford (talk) 05:53, 30 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Jimfbleak, can you clarify the block reason? In the block log you said "continuing to spam after explicit COI warning", but the editor's last edit before the block (now deleted) was at 06:06, 19 September 2019, and the first message on this page was posted at 10:33, 19 September 2019. Was the "explicit COI warning" given somewhere other than on this page, or did you just make a mistake? JBW (talk) Formerly known as JamesBWatson 20:27, 2 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi JBW I'm on holiday at present, please feel free to unblock, although I this editor will have to stop spamming as well as declaring their COI Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:08, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Black2basics, I am willing to unblock your account if you will give an undertaking to abide by the conflict of interest guideline, to avoid any editing that can reasonably be regarded as promotional, and if relevant to comply with the requirement for disclosure of paid editing. Are you willing to do so? JBW (talk) Formerly known as JamesBWatson 15:11, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi JBW - yes I completely understand. Thank you!
