Re: Mountain Parkway Byway
I'm NOT against anyone making changes to this article, but I want it as factual as possible. the problem is more factual than srtctural. I know the material a little bit better than you, so what I did was splice our edits together to make one. I f you have any questions about the material, please leave a message at my talk page. Your're more than welcome to add information that I might have missed.
Thank you

p.s Just so you'll know WC Rt 20/2 is the Mt Zion Road, which is a nearcut to the backway.
BP
What you said on the Mountain parkway Byway is inaccurate the National senic Byways program website list it as the Mountain Parkway, which is indeed the correct name. What might have thrown you off might have be the word byway right above it.
Todd Schoolcraft (talk) 17:51, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- Todd, please see Talk:Mountain Parkway Byway. You're now saying something completely different than what you've claimed before. It would be helpful if you could provide a cite to where exactly it just says "Mountain Parkway" only because I've shown cites from WVDOT, WV Department of Commerce, and the National Scenic Byways Program on that talk page saying "Mountain Parkway Byway". I would suspect that whatever you found was a list of byways and the "Byway" part was left off for brevity. Brian Powell (talk) 19:48, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- If you're referring to the NSBP page I linked from the talk page[1], please read the text of the article where it says "Mountain Parkway Byway". The "Mountain Parkway" reference is just a title, which was presumably shortened for brevity since everything on the site is a byway. Brian Powell (talk) 19:57, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
Hi Brian. I see you're having some dispute over this article. Bear in mind that Todd Schoolcraft is a newbie, and needs more explanation that an experienced editor. He has told me that most of the content of the article is sourced to the DVD listed as one of the sources - that's why it was originally in the references as a general reference, and why I left it there when I added it as an inline citation. I will try to explain to him about WP:OWN and get him to converse on the talk page - I'm sure this can be sorted out, its not as if its a contentious subject.--Elen of the Roads (talk) 09:23, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help. Brian Powell (talk) 19:48, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

- Please keep discussion of article content to Talk:Mountain Parkway Byway instead of spreading it out over multiple locations. I replied to your other comment on your talk page. Brian Powell (talk) 19:19, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
Mountain Parkway Byway Typo
I happened tom catch a misstake on your version of my origonal article. where you have "Webster County Route 6 from the Biggs Mill Stone to the Johnson Home" Its Boggs Mill not Biggs Mill.
Don't worry about it it happens to the best of us.
--Todd Schoolcraft (talk) 22:06, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing this out. I will copy this comment to the Talk Page so that we can keep track of everything there. Brian Powell (talk) 22:25, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
The Mountain Parkway
BP
You wern't aware of ths so I'm telling you now. The article The Mountain parkaw was ment to be a temporary article until the real one is unprotected. So we can work on it until the protection expires then delete it.
--Todd Schoolcraft (talk) 22:54, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- As I wrote on your wall, you cannot create a temporary article in the main space. You need to create a subpage. At this point, the appropriate place to work on this article would be via a discussion on Talk:Mountain Parkway Byway. Trying to collaboratively edit an article earlier was unsuccessful, which is why there is the page protection. Brian Powell (talk) 23:00, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- The protection on the Mountain Parkway article has been lifted, we can get to work. --Todd Schoolcraft (talk) 01:58, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

I'vg got a question, is it possibe to have two diffrent versions of the same article. --Todd Schoolcraft (talk) 16:14, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, but you shouldn't have two versions. Simply redirect something related to said article if said thing is not big enough to have its own article. - Zhang He (talk) 16:17, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- No, definitely not. There is ONE article on the Mountain Parkway Byway and all the users who want to edit it have to agree among themselves what its going to say. You may not create a second article on the same subject because you disagree with the way other editors have edited. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 16:19, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

--Todd Schoolcraft (talk) 16:24, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- No. See the replies from two other editors above. Wikipedia articles are not your own personal toys - see WP:OWNER. You need to work collaboratively and constructively with others to create a single unified article. Brian Powell (talk) 16:25, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
RE:Possibly unfree File:Backway Routes.ogg
BP Just so you'll that file was fyi. --Todd Schoolcraft (talk) 17:38, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- OK, but when you upload it to Wikipedia it is available to everyone. You need to correctly tag the copyright status of items you post. Brian Powell (talk) 18:06, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- I was planing to have it deleted anyway. --Todd Schoolcraft (talk) 18:16, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- OK then, please tag the files for Speedy Deletion under criteria G7 (author requests deletion). Brian Powell (talk) 18:28, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

Re:Why are you trying to move Mountain Parkway Byway?
I didnt, I had intevertenly ddeleted it while trying to get some nessessary informaion off of one of my older edits.
Sorry about that --Todd Schoolcraft (talk) 18:51, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Sorry...
...assumed those guys were actually known to history, however obscurely. The English Blue Plaque scheme specialises in ferreting out people that ought to be remembered (the inventor of the 3/16 galvanised widget, the discoverer of administratium etc) - so the subject should be at least notable enough for a stub article.--Elen of the Roads (talk) 21:59, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

Actually I didn't edit your comments, I would recommend you take a close look at the history of things before making false accusation or you may be banned yourself. You had an extra indent in there, it is not my fault that you are unable to fully proofread your work. GrayGhost6 (talk) 22:22, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
- You are correct that I accidentally had an extra indent in there. But if you review the diff logs, you'll see that you changed the timestamp on my post. See [2] Brian Powell (talk) 22:25, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
Schoolcraft again
He has now moved User:SchoolcrafT/Mountain Parkway to Mountain Parkway (Northern Webster Co.). I've had enough - this guy claims to have a degree in Information Management - he's not some mountain man who "don't understand this new fangled interweb thang". I am heading to ANI. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 21:15, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
- I agree wholeheartedly. I'd been thinking the same thing myself. Brian Powell (talk) 03:32, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- Lets see what he's like when he comes back from his 48hrs, and finds all his alternative pages have been speedied. Its a pity it had to come to this. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 16:33, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- I'm the admin who blocked Todd--but I've got a separate concern. None of the images he's uploaded and claimed to have created himself have metadata. We already know he has a misunderstanding of copyright, so I think this merits looking into further. Wondering if you could help since you've interacted with him a lot. Blueboy96 22:26, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- It looks like User:Zscout370 decided to yank all of Todd's images from here and Commons now, which is probably the safest way to go. Once the protection expires, I'll clean up Mountain Parkway Byway since it is now full of tags for missing images. I'm hoping to get back down to the area once the snow melts off and will try to take new pictures to replace most of what Todd has uploaded. Thanks for all your help. Brian Powell (talk) 23:31, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- And at least one of them was far too old for him to have taken it himself. He didn't bother to change the information after you and Elen explained copyright to him. After some trepidation, I extended the block to indefinite--Todd appears to have a serious misunderstanding of copyright, which is serious enough that he can't be allowed to edit. - Considering you're the one who has been blocked for abuse of Wikipedia, Todd, I find it highly unlikely you'd be able to get several admins and other editors blocked yourself. The logs tell the story from the past and you used a sockpuppet here to evade your blocks. You have no credibility. Brian Powell (talk) 15:46, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
Barrackville Covered Bridge
I grew up in Barrackville and walked and drove across this bridge many, many times. I saved a copy of your picture to my work computer so I can see it from time to time, since we live so far away now. IP vandalism
Hello Brian. Going over the contributions of the IP you reported to AIV, as someone unfamiliar with the roads in question, the vandalism isn't obvious to me. Please explain it and I will block the IP for a longer period if warranted. Thanks! —DoRD (?) (talk) 17:53, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
- The IP user keeps adding bogus (seemingly random) information to exit lists. He seems most interested in the Interstate 79 article although he's goofed up some other ones as well.
- In the case of I-79, WV and PA both number their exits on Interstates by mileage. For example, the correct version of the Interstate 79 article shows the I-79/I-68 interchange as Exit #148, which you can confirm on Google Maps at [3]. The IP user's edit claims this is Exit #37 [4]. Notice that in his edits, the exit numbers don't reset at the state line and he's going into weird really high letter suffixes.
- The IP user is also inserting comments saying there are multiple ramps at interchanges when there are none. One such example is at WV milepost 154.836 (WV 7/West Virginia University, correct Exit #155). He says there are separate eastbound and westbound exits when there clearly are none [5].
- Thanks for looking into this. Brian Powell (talk) 18:39, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, I've blocked the IP for a week this time. Feel free to drop me a note if they change IP addresses or if they start again after the block expires. Cheers —DoRD (?) (talk) 18:58, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
- It looks like they've resurfaced at 204.111.65.151 (talk • contribs • info • WHOIS). Brian Powell (talk) 23:27, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- (Copied from my talk) From what I can tell, the vandal is using IPs provided by http://www.shentel.net. If the vandalism continues, we may want to look into applying a rangeblock to their network or contacting their abuse email addresses (support@shentel.net or abuse@us.ntt.net). —DoRD (talk) 00:10, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

I created a sub-stub for Frost, so as to get rid of the redlink on the Allegheny Mountain Radio page. If you have information for the Frost page or the AMR page, please feel free to add away. - NeutralHomer • Talk • 02:21, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hey there....I was wondering if there was anymore you could add to the Frost, West Virginia article. It is a sub-stub right now and anyone could come along and request it for AFD in its current form. Thanks...NeutralHomer • Talk • 02:33, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
