Speedy deletion nomination of Fear candy edit

A tag has been placed on Fear candy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Kingpin13 (talk) 10:56, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

re: Learning edit

Hi there Bitfader, firstly thank you for your acceptance of our policies, it's very much appreciated. The best approach is to either write up the article on your computer, and then post it, or use a sandbox on Wikipedia, which'll let you save as much as you like to see what it looks like without it being deleted (you can also use the "Preview" button, let me know if you'd like to create your own personal sandbox, and I'll tell you how). To add hangon to a page, just edit the page itself, and you'd have seen at the top, a piece of text looking like {{db-band}}, right underneath this, place {{hangon}}, and then edit the talk page of the article saying why it shouldn't be deleted (all articles have a talk page, you can get to it by going to the article and selecting the "discussion" tab along the top of the page). - Kingpin13 (talk) 11:31, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Also, to add to that, you may want to read our policies on notability, at WP:NOTE, to check that the page you're writing should be included. Cheers - Kingpin13 (talk) 11:33, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
