Speedy deletion nomination of Blue dandelion

edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Blue dandelion, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Blue dandelion and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Everard Proudfoot (talk) 21:58, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Projects and Portals

edit

wikiprojects tend to be a way to get like minded articles tagged together so as to make it easier for various users to collaborate efforts in order to improve the overall scope of all. I am a member of several projects and they way I help is to keep certain pages on my watch-list. Find an area that you enjoy and see if there is a wikiproject for it.

portals are similar in that they tag similar articles together, but they do so through a portal that can be clicked on.

Hope this helps.--Jojhutton (talk) 22:55, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I joined the USA and canada task force for wikiproject football.--Birkenburg (talk) 13:03, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

WP:Wikify

edit

Wikifying an article means to make it look more like a wikipedia article rather than just a plain text one. The best way for users to accomplish this is to add links to other articles, and to create relevent sections. Without this wikifying, most articles would look like plain Word documents. As to how to improve an article, well that is up to the individual. There is no right or wrong way to improve articles. Articles evolve over time, usually through the additions by many many editors. Sometimes ideas clash, but most of the time a decent consensus can be reached using the talk page.--Jojhutton (talk) 00:10, 13 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

LA Galaxy

edit

I left some comments on my talk page.

If you need help with the references, let me know and I can help. Check some of the references already on the article to see how all the fields work. If you go to your preferences, under Gadgets tab, there's a reftools gadget that is helpful with working with references. Check the box to enable it.

The history section should probably be rewritten, but maybe not. It just needs to resolve recentism problem.

When working with articles, I find it helpful to look at those that are already exemplary. Take a look at Category:GA-Class football articles and Category:FA-Class football articles to get an idea. What information exists there that doesn't exist on LA Galaxy that could be added. It doesn't have to be perfect, but give it a check through.

Let me know of any further questions you may have. :) Mahanga (Talk) 01:47, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
