Welcome to Wikipedia! edit

Hello Binky The WonderSkull, welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed nobody had said hi yet... Hi!

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

You might like some of these links and tips:

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, --Alf melmac 08:42, 8 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ok thanks! Your help is cool. I hope I do this right! Binky The WonderSkull 08:59, 8 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
That looks right to me! --Alf melmac 09:26, 8 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Date and time stamp edit

All you have to do is sign your posts with four tildes (as stated above) ~~~~. After you submit the post the tildes disappear and turn into the username and date and time. If you want to type in your username for some reason, then you can add just the time of the post by five tildes. Шизомби 13:59, 8 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello edit

Greetings, fellow Discordian! How's life? --Ange Noir 05:02, 12 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm guessing you'll see this. Fine! I like the boxes on your member page. I'll have to add some to mine.
I just reverted back changes that anonymous user did to the Discordianism article. I saw you agreed, so did it. I hope I don't get banned from here or something! lol Binky The WonderSkull 05:30, 12 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Naw, people get in edit wars all the time. Best case scenario: They give up or don't bother to check back. Worst case scenario: The people involved in the edit war get editing privlidges suspended temporarily and a moderator decides what to do about it. Banning is reserved for really bad stuff. But hey! The more people agree with your edits, the easier it will be to keep your edits.--Ange Noir 05:58, 12 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi! This is Icarus!, being non-Wiki (I'm not logged in...), saying thanx for the work on the Discordianism page! Keep it up!24.176.20.60 16:28, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

BTW, check www.myspace.com/icarus_23 ... you'll be glad! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.176.20.60 (talk) 16:28:36, August 19, 2007 (UTC)

Wow! edit

I've never been called a "major Wikipedian" before! Thanks :-) Y'know, I still consider myself a newbie in so many ways - it's a constant learning curve, and I think that's one of the main things that makes it interesting (and fun). Long may you continue in the same spirit.. :-) Cormaggio @ 10:45, 30 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Aneris edit

Looks good to go, although I'm going to (slightly) modify the headlines. They are just a little oversized. V. Joe 07:46, 12 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

All right thanks! Binky The WonderSkull 07:49, 12 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Reference edit

Hiya, Binky. I notice in the citation for RAW using the penname "Loveshade" which you added, you've used a mention in a comment on a blog. Do you have anything more substantial? A printed reference where RAW's using the nom de plume would be good, an e-reference to an actual occurance would likewise be okay. An assertion by RevBootie that he used it isn't really a citiation, it's just someone saying that it's so. Cheers! Drjon 13:59, 17 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Autoblock edit

Is there a way it can be fixed so your user name isn't blocked because somebody else has the same IP? I use computers at college and this happens to me a lot! Thanks! Binky The WonderSkull 05:37, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you edit they will block you! edit

Shill formerly Ashibaka tried to delete the article Discordian Works twice. Both times the vote was keep. So he's just going to redirect it anyway?

And then he says we have to add sources. But on my user page he posted that if I add sources he doesn't think are good enough, he'll block me! Now NeoFreak said the same thing on Talk:Discordian Works to anybody who edits Discordian Works! So they say we'll delete even if the vote is keep, and if you have to add sources, but we won't like any sources you add, and if you add sources we don't like we'll just block you? Why should we even try! We can't win anyway! I've made a few hundred edits and I've helped create some articles here. But now I'm like what's the point in even trying when they'll just destroy anything you do anyway and will block you from doing anything! Binky The WonderSkull 19:02, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Murder of Emily Sander edit

Binky, please do not add the external link again or I will ask for the page to get protected and for an administrator to warn you or block you for violation of WP:RRR. This page was previously protected because of the continued addition and removal of these contested links. Discuss your proposed changes in the talk page. Request reason:

User_talk:Raul654#Block_of_Binky_The_WonderSkull.3F

Decline reason:

I'm seeing considerable overlap between the editing patterns of this account, MRN and Will381976. If the ips also match then the conclusion of sockpuppetry and meatpuppetry is unavoidable. Especiaslly as the other two accounts are blocked. — Spartaz Humbug! 09:44, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Why am I being blocked? I haven't even edited anything for a while cuz somebody was threatening me already and now I'm blocked? The discussion is at User_talk:Raul654#Block_of_Binky_The_WonderSkull.3F. I'm sorry but sometimes Wikipedia sucks! Binky The WonderSkull (talk) 06:38, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Aneris edit

I have nominated Aneris, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aneris. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. File permission problem with File:Apocrypha2.gif edit

Thanks for uploading File:Apocrypha2.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 23:01, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
