  • You're right...it's just that the red links led me to believe otherwise. My apologies for accusing you of a hoax. I'll restore it immediately, but since your username indicates you're involved with the band, please review WP:COI. It's OK to write about your own project if it meets the notability requirements (in this case, WP:BAND) and if it isn't written in a self-promotional tone. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:46, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Thank you for restoring it. The red links will be updated with album information quickly. I am a represetative of the band and will review the requirments. Billpopp (talk) 23:52, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

You bet. It's just that we get clobbered with so many truly unnotable band articles that a legit one runs the risk of getting deleted. Thanks for the contribution and thanks for your understanding. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:55, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Bill Popp and the Tapes edit

I have nominated Bill Popp and the Tapes, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bill Popp and the Tapes. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Niteshift36 (talk) 00:10, 8 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Before you do a lot of work edit

I see you already did an article for one of the albums. Please consider carefully if they will meet the requirements of WP:NALBUMS. Most of the time, if they haven't charted or received a lot of significant coverage, articles like that end up becoming redirects back to the artists article. Speedy deletion nomination of Popp This edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Popp This requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
