External links edit

Hi there! When adding external links, could you please make sure you don't add another section when one already exists on the page? Also, the external links go after the references, not before. Thanks!—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); November 19, 2013; 14:42 (UTC)

And for those pages which are on my watchlist I actually do not see any need to add this link you are adding. For big cities, we have enough good images on Commons, and I just do not see how we can benefit from the external link to a photowebsite. May be you could have a break and discuss. Thank you.--Ymblanter (talk) 17:02, 19 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
I agree on the big cities—for those we usually have plenty of good quality pictures already. And I'm not enamored with the quality of this website's pictures either, but in many articles they are, sadly, the best that's available. I suggest we keep them now and replace them with links to higher quality images as we find them.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); November 19, 2013; 17:47 (UTC)
May be we can keep them for small and mid-size towns indeed. For big cities like Belgorod and Arkhangelsk we have way more on Commons, and, in my opinion, links to external commercial website are not really the best thing.--Ymblanter (talk) 18:22, 19 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
I have no objection to that. All we now need is to hear something from the owner of this talk page :) Cheers,—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); November 19, 2013; 18:52 (UTC)
Let us wait indeed, though SPAs sometimes have no idea they have a talk page.--Ymblanter (talk) 19:00, 19 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
I can add links in the page of towns<100000 people?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Bijubiju (talkcontribs)
I don't see why not, unless there are already links to high-quality pictures or a lot of images on Commons. Yaroslav, are you OK with it?—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); November 19, 2013; 21:39 (UTC)
Yes, I am fine with possible exceptions of very touristy places like Suzdal hich are very well covered on Commons.--Ymblanter (talk) 21:47, 19 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much!!!

November 2013 edit

Hello, I'm Jamesx12345. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Elista because it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks. Mass links to makewebmap.com edit

Hi. I think you better should not add so lot of links to makewebmap.com website. I opened discussion here Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Spam#makewebmap.com `a5b (talk) 17:22, 21 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your userpage has been blanked because Wikipedia is not a linkfarm. MER-C 11:06, 22 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
