Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Tammar wallaby has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for for your recent, highly problematic edit to the Tammar wallaby article. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Favonian (talk) 17:21, 3 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

This account has not been compromised and was under control of its actual owner at the time. This type of edit will not be made again by the user and use of this account for editing will likely be discontinued entirely after the block is lifted. As the reason that this edit was made (and that account use will be discontinued) stems from a sensitive and private matter, I would request that I be able to discuss this issue with administrators in a private setting if further assurances are required. Please respond with the best private contact method if necessary. Thank you.

Decline reason:

As you state that the "use of this account for editing will likely be discontinued entirely after the block is lifted", I see no purpose in unblocking it. That aside, the one edit after almost five years of inactivity is usually a sign of a compromised account. However, if you wish to discuss this with JamesBWatson as indicated below, you are welcome to do so. At this time, however, I am hesitant to unblock. Kinu t/c 09:09, 11 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I have checked your editing history, and that one edit was totally out of character, so maybe it was a one-off blip, and you are unlikely to do it again. For that reason, I am willing to be sympathetic to your unblock request. However, the possibility of a compromised account holds me back. If you go to the "preferences" link at the top of the page, you will find an option to add an email address to your Wikipedia account. When you have done that, go to my talk page, and you will find a link to "Email this user". Click on that, and you can email me if you like. I will keep anything you say confidential, and not reveal it to anyone else without your permission. (I suppose I would have to make an exception if you confessed to a murder or something of the sort in an email, but not for any normal Wikipedia-related stuff.) If you email me in the way I have described, your email address will be revealed to me. If you are happy with that, then that's OK; if not, you may like to create a separate email account just for Wikipedia use. (I have done that.) Your email

edit

I have read your email. I see that you ask me to reply by email. However, you have disabled Wikipedia email, and I never send Wikipedia emails directly from my email account, as the email header provides personal information such as my IP address, which can be abused. This is not just a theoretical possibility: in the past someone has hacked into an email account which I never used for anything other than Wikipedia emails. that is why I am posting my answer here. I hope you will come to this page and read it.

The edit you made has been revision-deleted, which means nobody except administrators can see it. However, I shall request "oversight" of the edit, which will mean that even administrators can't see it. It will still be visible that there was an edit, but not what the edit was. If you ever make an unblock request, please mention me in the request, so that I can give as much information as necessary to any administrator reviewing your request. However, I am not unblocking you now, and am not likely to do so unless you can provide good reasons to believe that the kind of unfortunate incident which led to this block is not likely to happen again.
