re speedy delete of logo file you asked about

edit

Hi. The only time I do a speedy tag like that ... is when the creator blanks the page. :) So, I'm guessing you blanked the page, and I tagged it for speedy because the creator blanked it. Proofreader77 (talk) 01:22, 12 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

P.S. (re your talk page notes) The part in your novel about me :), must be in sonnet form (or at least limericks:) Proofreader77 (talk) 01:33, 12 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cool, thanks. I'll fix that. Thanks for your help! BigBrightStars (talk) 01:34, 12 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

A friendly tip

It's really pointless to make the piped link [[Us_Weekly|Us Weekly]]. You get the same results with [[Us Weekly]]. Saves time a tad bit of Wikipedia's resources. Cheers! Ward3001 (talk) 02:51, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:Kayak Logo.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Kayak Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:34, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I see what you were going for with that quote by Aubrey O'Day, but I don't feel that it is needed. The reason I feel that way is because it is already stated (though not exactly) soon after that at the end of that section. Because of this, do you mind if I remove the quote? Flyer22 (talk) 02:02, 1 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Never mind. I know how to tweak it so that it fits better. Flyer22 (talk) 02:06, 1 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of BeautyMint

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BeautyMint requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. DGG ( talk ) 08:18, 28 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When you recently edited Chris Diamantopoulos, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Character (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Your article submission Cut Bank (film)

edit

Hello BigBrightStars. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Cut Bank (film).

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Cut Bank (film)}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 08:47, 12 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Slingshot Labs

edit

The article Slingshot Labs has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This page, confusingly, concerns two different companies. The software company that was allegedly started in March 2020 does not appear to meet any of our notability guidelines. And the News Corp. subsidiary is now defunct and also may not meet our notability guidelines (or, at best, should just be merged into the News Corp. page). I'm PRODing this as I don't think there's anything to salvage from this page but happy to discuss if anyone sees it differently.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
