HMNZS Canterbury edit

The first reference from the navy states clearly that she will be based in Devonport (which makes sense to me, for that is the main navy base in NZ, isn't it)? Can you please note which ref has her being based in Lyttelton? Maybe she is registered there, which could be possible, even if based in Auckland. Ingolfson 10:34, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

My apologies. The reference is very poorly written - below the part you cite as her being a Lyttleton ship, it also says she is based in Devonport! As she is named Canterbury, and based on what I just now read in addition, I assume that the Devonport basing is only temporary. So never mind, I turned it back. Ingolfson 11:24, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
And again me - a newer NZ Herald article also has her based in Devonport. I guess we may have to email the navy to clear that up... Ingolfson 11:36, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

As I understand it, all RNZN ships are based out of Devonport, which is the only naval base in NZ. However each ship has an honorary 'home port' - see Current_Royal_New_Zealand_Navy_ships. In the case of HMNZS Canterbury, it is Lyttelton. At least the RNZN seems to consider Lyttelton it's official home port - it says so on their home page at present: "She sailed to New Zealand and arrived in her affiliated home port of Lyttelton on Thursday 28 June". Flight of the Conchords edit

Just watch the show it is obvious Mel is a girl and she is pretending Doug is her husband. Right when she is awkwardly trying to explain her married life, Doug walks up and says "it's time for bed your mother will be worried" or something to that effect. That's why he is always driving her around. It's a joke that the stalker is just a girl and she awkwardly passes off her father driving her around everywhere as her husband. I don't know how else to verify this other than by saying it's pretty obvious if you just watch the episode... Usvtheman 20:15, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

It sounds to me like: "We said we'd call your Mom and she'll go to bed soon". Also Mel is wearing a wedding ring. While your theory is possible, and it would be funny if it turns out to be the case, I don't think there is enough evidence to state it explicitly in the entry. Sarah Connor Chronicles image edit

The image you uploaded needs a source and a fair use rationale. ColdFusion650 17:50, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've added a source. Rationale is the same as other TV screenshots (see Licensing section of image page). BigBadaboom0 18:10, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Simply using the template will not cover it. You must specifically list why it falls under fair use in each and every context it is used. For example, see the images on The Office (US TV series). It's a featured article. I'll add the fair use rationale for this one so that you can get an idea what to do for other images you upload. By the pilot episode, I assume you mean the leaked pilot? ColdFusion650 18:26, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
After your first comment, I checked a number of TV series screenshot images and couldn't find any that included a rationale, so I was not sure what to put. Thank you for adding one for me. Yes the screenshot is from the leaked pilot, however I didn't want to say as much on the image page. BigBadaboom0 18:47, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Did you get the leaked version from the BitTorrent on the page mentioned in the article or somewhere else? ColdFusion650 18:54, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Why do you ask? BigBadaboom0 19:17, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
It's possible that there are multiple leaked versions. Shows, especially pilots, go through many different revisions before release. It's possible that multiple versions were leaked, only one of which is on the site linked to in the article. ColdFusion650 19:19, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I believe the one I have seen is from that, or a closely related, source, although I had seen it before my first visit to this article. BigBadaboom0 19:39, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Sarah Connor Chronicles Intertitle.png) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Sarah Connor Chronicles Intertitle.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:31, 24 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Crowe edit

Hi sorry but I think it is as it shows that he not only looks for homes in the big cities of Sydney or Brissy but also up here in the north, plus it was for his niece (she is family) so she can study at the uni, and seeing how this part is about family and home life it should be listed here, but as I am a nice guy I will let you do as you wish. FOTC Locations edit

Hi, I apologize for not commenting on my edit, I thought it was pretty minor. I'm also not a regular editor to wikipedia so I'm not well versed in the etiquette, but since I had just visually verified the fact and knew it needed correction, I decided to just make the change.

A few days ago I was in NY and wanted to check out some filming locations for the show because I am a big fan, so I looked up the locations on your article and went out to them. The consulate location was right, but when I got to 25 Henry Street it was clear that was not the right address for the apartment exterior shots -- from having seen the show, I could tell that the actual building was across the street at 28 Henry, and I verified this when I checked a photo I took with a screen shot from the show. The address for Dave's pawn shop is also not correct as far as I could tell, but I couldn't locate where the actual address was. Moxieavenger 04:44, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Sally (Flight of the Conchords) edit

An editor has nominated Sally (Flight of the Conchords), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sally (Flight of the Conchords) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 15:01, 9 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Kim Petras edit

Your reason for reverting my edits to the article(Kim Petras) was that my edit altered the facts. Can you please explain how because I am not sure how my edit altered any facts since it did not introduce any new new information(except the fact that she posted some songs online before she was signed up). My edit was just to restructure the article to emphasize her notability and make it read more like an entry in an encyclopedia than a biography. Your revert returned the article back to the version that was being deleted and you removed the delete tag without making any changes to the article or even providing a reason. So basically , your revert was pointless. --Killeroid (talk) 05:04, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sources needed for Days of the Year pages edit

You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the content guideline, the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide or the edit notice on any DOY page. Please do not add new additions to these pages without direct sources as the burden to provide them is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you.
