I don't understand this edit

This one. Marco and all Hurricane, Typhoons, and Tropical Storms are Tropical Cyclones. Tropical Cyclone is the overarching term that describes all of these phenomenon. Plasticup ^T/C 03:11, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Exactly, a tropical storm is a tropical cyclone, the NHC doesn't need to state it broke a record in order to break a record. Image Title - Locomotive NF5 (possibly NF2)

Under the Whyte system of wheel notation used for the classification of steam locomotives, only the locomotive wheels are counted, tender wheels are not.

If you check the images at (truncated) comrails.railpage.org.au/cr_locos/r_nf, you'll see that the 2-6-0 locomotive is coupled to a four wheel tender.

A further clue is that these locos were catalogued by Beyer Peacock as 'Colonial Moguls', 'Mogul' being the common designator for 2-6-0 type locos.

It's a little more involved than just counting the visble wheels and multiplying by 2, and anyone knowing anything about the subject would concur. Maybe you'd like to correct your incorrect 'correction' and eliminate your misinformation.

Win TV

I know that but it is available via the mystar box, I never said it was broadcast by Austar...I was pointing out that Austar (a major Pay TV provider) has made it available. and also if Win has nothing to do with Nine why is WIN Television the sole Nine Network affiliate and On 30 January 2006 the station relaunched its logo to coincide with the Nine Network's fiftieth year of broadcasting and it also says that Despite the station's ownership of Nine Perth, plus The regional affiliate for Channel 9 is WIN TV......need I go on. Australian Coat of Arms

Since you're obviously watching several articles that I am watching, I thought I'd clarify some edits that I've just made. Image:Australian Coat of Arms.png and Image:Australian coat of arms 1912 edit.png are essentially the same image. However, the second image is a bit darker than the first and the detail doesn't seem to show up as well in the reduced size it becomes in infoboxes and thumbnails so I changed some instances of the second image to the first image. It seems more consistent to use one image rather than two different versions of the same image. Obviously, both of these images are far superior to the svg version that they keep getting replaced with. The changes I made to the infoboxes were just minor formattting changes. --AussieLegend (talk) 22:11, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Campdraft

My issue isn't who took the photos, it's the tendency of these things to become an endless gallery of "here is that event in my location" -- For example, Show jumping is a mess that way, though better than it used to be. The point is, if you can caption the photo to explain how it fits with an article about campdrafting (i.e. "horse must move the cow in given direction" or something), that it one thing, but to add an image that seems to show nothing more than "people campdraft in Queensland too" photo is just making a gallery. If you have something that this photo illustrates that the others don't caption it accordingly. Otherwise, you are just creating a gallery, and galleries are discouraged on wikipedia. OC500LE

Here is an official news report to the fire that occurred on the 21st of July 2008 to confirm the information reported by the TWU page Perth Now. In my personal opinion, I find a newspaper report to be far more bias and uninformative when compared to a TWU investigation. With six engine compartment fires on Transperth O 500LE units and one engine fire on a recently delivered STA O 500LE unit, I believe that it is fair to include this in the page as there is clearly some concern as to the O 500LE's safety when being powered from natural gas. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.216.126.103 (talk) 01:27, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

"Numerous engine fires related to the overheating of the O 500LE's turbocharger have also occurred in Sydney and Perth which has further lessened the chassis reputation, particularly in relation to its natural gas powered operation" must also be in the source which it really isn't. The TWU's report states this "However, we are told that this is the sixth gas bus fire." doesn't mean that it's fact 6 and isn't reliable nor does it state the cause. Many news sources have now gone offline as they have archived older articles which makes the process difficult, just because a source detailing the entire incident can not be found does not mean that the events did not occur. I am sure many reports and documents related to the fires can be found in Transperth's offices, however as I have stated, it is extremely difficult to make them accessible online. In my opinion I believe that the fires should be mentioned in the page, worded to your approval, as there is photographic evidence as well reports from drivers to support the fact that fires had occurred in both Transperth and Sydney Buses O500LE units which have presented safety concerns. Images on NAB article

Hello there - just because an image CAN be used given its copyright status doesnt mean it SHOULD be used. I'd argue that a photo of a company's building is not adding much value in an article. You have chosen the Australian and the Global headoffice buildings. Should there be images of the MLC buildling as well ? NAB has several hundred buildings in its portfolio. Which ones should be in there ? I dont think they add much. You could, for instance, make the Docklands buildling relevant by adding some content aroudn it (eg it was part of a culture change program) and reference it (there were some news artciels), but just posting the image without any relevance - I think not. Issue on Reverting Edits In Article

Hello, I'm under the presumption here that there's a misunderstanding on linking to external websites, especially in the article of List of radio stations in Australia in which my original edit, which consisted of Darwin's 92.3 Top Country having an external link, was removed

The misunderstanding is that, Top Country, while not having an article on Wikipedia, deserves to have at least "something" people can read about it. Also, you might find that if external linking was not allowed "at all" then there would be many more edits to come, as I was only following what was already listed under other towns, also, Top Country is part of a Country Music network, which the other external links have not been removed, in this case I dont believe the link from Darwin's Top Country should be removed, unless the whole article is going to be looked at 58.175.41.204 (talk) 08:09, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Removal of images in the Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner article

Note that I have not been active on Wikipedia due to a manuscript being completed for publication. Another editor actually tried to correct your tags but was reverted (by yourself?). I can't go into any details ATM as I've got to go to work but images must have information before being moved from Wikipedia to Commons. Reason for the transfer is that they can be used on the world wide Wikipedia projects rather then just one and it's really only the uploader who can add the information on images. Ruhrfisch who did the peer review, said "B class seems fine to me, though I do not usually assess sport articles" (on my talk page) and Mvjs said "From a quick look at the article, it looks pretty solid, I'd probably say definitely B-class". It's not in the peer review. I asked Ruhrfisch what it should be rated and it was said that "B class seems fine to me", so it's not just me that thinks that it's B-class. Ruhrfisch or Mvjs haven't done any large amounts of editing in the article. Aaroncrick (talk) 05:06, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

The claims made in the article are not minor claims as I've said fix the issues and then I'll see no issues for a B-Class rating otherwise you're just wasting my time by discussing (repeating it) about it when you could be fixing those issues.
