Welcome

Hello Bidgee/Archive 0, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions to the Lake Albert and Wagga articles. I am not totally certain though I understand why a link to the wagga sky cam belongs on the Wikipedia without any further explanation. That it is Wagga's only skycam does not make it more relevant to an encyclopaedia article on Wagga.

I hope you enjoy using Wikipedia and decide to make additional contributions. Some valuable resources to help new Wikipedians include:

Wagga Wagga

Hi Robertmyers, and thanks for your recent contributions to Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, particularly the photo of the courthouse. Pictures really add a lot to articles, particularly those about towns. Keep up the good work!

Thanks :)

I believe the railway bridge in Wagga is due to be replaced - any chance of getting a photo of it before they demolish it and build the new one? Or is the bridge in the article already the rail bridge? (JROBBO 04:11, 19 May 2006 (UTC))

I have some old images of the bridge (2002/2003). The work on the new bridge is to start next month with them building under the current bridge and then the old bidge will be removed about December 30th and will be closed for 4 days. RobertM 07:49, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Vmg-wagga1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Vmg-wagga1.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:14, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Wagga Wagga LGA template

The template is sitting immediately under the heading for the sub heading for Wagga Wagga City Council. If it doesn't display properly, it is because of your browser and/or resolution for display. You should not change formats to correct display on your terminal. The logic is template immediately under the heading. As the article increases in length, you may find your display improves. --A Y Arktos\talk 22:39, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Problem user

Can you give me their exact ip's and any articles they may be hitting? I've only just become aware of this problematic user last week but was expecting their return. Thanks. -- Longhair 07:45, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

I haven't found any instance (today, it's happened before I know) of this user being abusive or otherwise disruptive. It seems largely a content dispute. I've provided a link for the anon user to check for themselves the accuracy of the information at Murrumbidgee River. I may be wrong. If there's evidence of this user again being a pain, I'd be happy to see the diffs and deal with them accordingly. -- Longhair 08:02, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
  • I have just blocked for a clear breach of NPA - has been warned before - note that he does make many useful edits too, is just rude and sometimes seemingly unable to understand the policies about no original research. If it escalates, take it WP:AN/I. Regards--A Y Arktos\talk 12:11, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Request for Arbitration

FYI - I have requested arbitration at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration#A Y Arktos v. 203.54.*.*--A Y Arktos\talk 07:57, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi I had lodged an RfA but it got rejected saying "try mediation first". I have now lodged an RfC at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/203.54.*.* in order to start dispute resolution from the beginning.

An RfC is required to meet a two-person threshold, ie at least two people need to show that they tried to resolve a dispute with this user and have failed. This must involve the same dispute with a single user, not different disputes or multiple users. The persons complaining must provide evidence of their efforts, and each of them must certify it by signing this page with ~~~~. If this does not happen within 48 hours of the creation of this dispute page (which was: 01:26, 26 July 2006 (UTC) 11.26 26/7 AEST), the page will be deleted..

Thanks for your reverts at Gundagai, New South Wales. I'm blocking any resurfacing of this identity to spare us all some headaches. Feel free to let me know if he appears anywhere else. -- Longhair 07:05, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks again. He just earned another 3 hour block. -- Longhair 10:05, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Thanks for your ongoing help. I have now blocked him for 1 week with specific and overt warnings that any edits within the week are a breach of policy and will be reverted. I have also lodged a complaint about his behaviour with Telstra. I appreciate your support. Regards--A Y Arktos\talk 01:52, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Anon

Hello, I see your're involved in a war with some anon users, may I ask what's the deal with those? One of them asked for my help on Battle of the Hindenburg Line but doesn't seem to be very coherant - Myanw 12:35, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

  • Okay, no pity for blocked users, I'll help you guys tracking him from now on, thanks for the clarification - Myanw 12:55, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
  • I'm just trying to assume good faith on his behalf, I have not yet perused every contributions they've made yet but I get your point regarding the 203.54.*.* (like the systematic lack of signature), I'll keep an eye on those --Myanw 13:27, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
    • Agreed, the URL provided doesn't say anything at all or I can't use a web browser anymore, please do --Myanw 13:34, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
