Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Vista (IIM Bangalore), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the page that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Your article, Vista (IIM Bangalore)

Hi there! Unfortunately I had to delete your article as it fell afoul of our speedy deletion critera. Though I have seen that you did try to re-write the article to be more in line with policy, please remember that articles must be neutral and be written in language which reflects this.

To give you an illustration, here is one of the paragraphs which the article contained under the heading Flagship Events at Vista

A successful firm requires complete synergy of financial prowess, marketing acumen and deep strategic sapience. This is the mantra of Excelsior, an exclusive invite only event where participants use negotiation and strategy in multiple rounds of Finance, Strategy and Marketing to grow their firms and battle it out in the ultimate challenge of the Firms.[1]

As you can see, the language contains excessive praise. A better way to write this (assuming there were reliable third-party sources to verify the claims made, would be:

Excelsior is an event where participants compete against each other to learn business skills. The event is invitation only.

Yes, that takes a large bulk of the information out (I may be getting something wrong too but I honestly don't have a clue on the specifics of the event on reading the first paragraph), but it also relays facts without needless adjectives or opening statements which have nothing to do with the facts of the event.

I hope this helps with your rewriting of your article. Remember, you can use the article wizard if you get stuck. Good luck and happy editing. PanydThe muffin is not subtle 17:32, 12 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
