I'm Brainy J, and I noticed that you haven't been welcomed yet, so I thought I'd drop you a note. We do have a lot of users, and are currently working on 6,905,409 articles, so things can be a little intimidating... but don't worry! We love to help out, and we'll try our best to make your stay here as comfortable as possible.
Here are a few links I found useful when I first arrived here:-
You should sign your name on talk pages, discussions and votes by typing ~~~~
; our software automatically converts it to your username and the date. Also, if you don't want to jump right into editing articles right now, why not check out the sandbox? Feel free to make test edits there.
I know it's a lot of information, but there are two more things I recommend you take note of while editing Wikipedia - cite references wherever possible, and avoid allowing personal biases interfere with your editing.
I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian - I definitely do. Although we all make mistakes, please keep in mind what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or problems, leave me a message on my talk page, and I'll try my best to help. Otherwise, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
We hope you stick around, and make sure you enjoy yourself! Cheers, Brainy J ~✿~ (talk) 21:08, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
The article Domestic multiculturalism has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
I haven't been able to find significant coverage of this concept in reliable sources, or any indication that this article could be expanded to be more than a dictionary definition. The phrase is occasionally used in reliable sources, but as far as I can see is very seldom discussed (see Use–mention distinction). When it's used (including in the only source cited in this article) it doesn't seem to refer to anything other than the sum of its parts: multiculturalism on a domestic (i.e. national) level. As such, moving to Wiktionary is not an option; the phrase also isn't used in any other Wikipedia articles, so redirecting rather than deleting is unlikely to be a possibility.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 21:27, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
