Dating reports edit

Beta, it would be nice if you could add a date/time stamp on your reports indicating when they were run. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 20:22, 5 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

/me points to the Last Modified column . βcommand 03:49, 6 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • You kinda lost me there. What I was hoping for was a date/time stamp at the top of each report indicating when that report was run? --Hammersoft (talk) 13:45, 6 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
If you look at the top of tools:~betacommand/reports you will see three column headers: Name, Last Modified, and Size. Last Modified is automatically updated whenever a file changes. So that should give you what you need. βcommand 16:51, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Do you have any ideas on how we can identify/tag free-ish images? edit

Hello. And Happy New Year. I have a stupid image tagging question - the short version is in the title - that I've asked at the village pump. I am wondering if you have any ideas on this? Or do you know who else might be able to help me out here? Many thanks in advance and all the best, Angus McLellan (Talk) 22:41, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Report on incorrectly tagged BLPs edit

I've been working from your report of BLPs that hit your regex that indicate they might be sourced. I have done about 100 of them and I've found that your report has a very high hit rate, probably 85-90% have a good source or two. This seems to indicate that we have probably 14,000 incorrectly tagged BLPs that should either be untagged or downgraded to a tag other than "totally unsourced".

Would you consider moving the report into wikipedia namespace somewhere and updating it on a regular basis? I know I can't do this alone, but we really should go through it so that efforts can concentrate on articles that are actually unsourced. Gigs (talk) 04:10, 26 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

if you want to copy it somewhere into the WP namespace go ahead. (dont move the page) Ill update when ever poked. βcommand 05:07, 27 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Idea for new report edit

Hi Beta. I was working this morning and came across Greg Epstein, which contains a non-free image of a living person. The article was missing Category:Living people on it, and I added it...which got me thinking.

It should be possible to create a report that lists all articles in Category:Living people that contain a non-free image. There would be a number of false hits, in that the images in question might not be used for depiction of the person in the BLP. But, it would be very helpful in tracking down BLPs that use non-free images for depiction purposes. Right now, we just find them as we come across them.

Thoughts? --Hammersoft (talk) 15:50, 27 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Will this be on a regular update schedule too? --Hammersoft (talk) 21:48, 27 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
