Federal election issues article edit

Hi there. I saw you made some edits to Issues in the Canadian federal election, 2006 a while ago. I'm proposing this article be deleted under prod because it's entirely obsolete, and hasn't had any human edits since April. Just wanted to let you know, in case you think it's worth saving. -Joshuapaquin 02:14, 28 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Bern99! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

NDP leadership endorsements edit

Thank you for adding endorsements, but there are three things to note: we need sources for them, each item should end with a semi-colon because the items include commas, and names should be added in alphabetical order. -Rrius (talk) 23:37, 20 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

John Tod (fur trader) edit

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of John Tod (fur trader), and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.livinglandscapes.bc.ca/thomp-ok/river-post/tod.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 16:00, 13 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of John Tod (fur trader) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on John Tod (fur trader) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of Alexander G. McCandless edit

The article Alexander G. McCandless has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced and non-notable

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 42nd Canadian federal election edit

I have reverted your edits to this article removing equivalent margins of error from the polling data. We already have a consensus on how to handle this at Talk:42nd_Canadian_federal_election#Margins_of_error_for_polls, which is why this says "equiv". If you want to change this you need to gain a new consensus on the talk page. - Ahunt (talk) 10:31, 28 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please identify sources in future edit

Hi Bern

Thanks for your edits on Ontario general election, 2014.  In future, (if the edit itself doesn't include the reference to the source) could you please identify the source (e.g. "http://wemakevotingeasy.ca/en/electoral-districts/090-thunder-bay-atikokan.aspx" or "[[Thunder Bay—Atikokan (provincial electoral district)#Election results]]") in your edit comments.  Particularly for these election related files, edits are made and checked by dozens of people and it saves a lot of time if each person doesn't have to search things out.  Thanks… and keep up the good work!  Cheers — Who R you? Talk 20:17, 25 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
