Request reason:

the only thing I edited was Bury fc page, I removed shirt numbers as new number havent been announced and the other thing i edited on the page was made one the coaches clickable (Adriano Basso)so people could go to his page, I think my ban isnt fair as I'm a Bury fan so I was just updating the page so people who visit the page would have up to date info

Accept reason:

There were several other people who were vandalizing related articles at the same time you were editing. Your edits looked like they were part of this vandalism spree because you removed a chunk of content without explanation. Since you've given us an explanation now, I've unblocked you. It seems unfair to keep you blocked if you just happened to be editing at the same time as unrelated vandals. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:19, 28 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

@NinjaRobotPirate:- do you think it's possible to assume good faith about this user's edits? PhilKnight (talk) 20:44, 27 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Bermanater91: It is always best to leave existing content alone until it is certain that there is a source to verify change. The shirt numbers are a case in point. New numbers may well be allocated, assuming the club stays in the EFL, but until they are it is best practice to stick with what we had last season. The online sources are all over the place in this as it is only in the last few days that they have recognised Jordan Archer as having returned from Southport. As for Adriano Basso, I admit I don't know who he is and, despite the coincidence, the guy with a WP article could be a different man. Again, sources are needed. Best to leave the variable unlinked for now until we know more.

The deadline is up but no definite news yet. Oh, well. No Great Shaker (talk) 18:45, 29 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
