Thanks very much for the welcome and the helpful tips and guides. I did notice a bunch of references to a missing/not yet created page in the article I was editing and had started reading how to draft a new page from scratch but got a bit lost. Also on an edit I just suggested, I cited newspaper articles but wondered if/how you are supposed to cite where in them (as when you cite a page in a book) as the article was very long? Why would you think my username is a company, group, org, service, or website -- do you know any such one -- I don't and a google search does not show it as one. Berkeley is a long dead historical figure / philosopher. Thus my chosen name violates no policy so I'm not requesting a change of name. Berkeley65 (talk) 04:02, 6 May 2022 (UTC)

This is silly and why some shy away from helping with Wikipedia. It is presumptuous to infer anything. And the username is not Berkeley but adds characters so it isn't confused and so it doesn't violate policies. A google search shows no company, website or org named Berkeley65. Most uses of Berkeley are in fact derived from Bishop Berkeley (including the University of California which took its name from the city), but can also mean the City (of Berkeley CA, or Berkeley, MO or Berkeley, IL...) or Berkeley College (not the University you mention), etc. Its like saying one can't be Newton800 even though part of the name might be a dead person, a college, a city, a force, a personal digital assistant, ...
