The tone of what's written so far tends to be technical, although that's needed for a technical article such as thing. Finding the balance between readability and being exact is key. In the "Signs & Symptoms", links to other disease pages could be added. Also I wonder if "Structure" should appear earlier in the page. It would be more fitting if "Treatment & Prevention" was the last section and "Structure" if not the first section, close to the top. Truong.ci (talk) 14:44, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

This text examines the epidemiology, life cycle, signs, diagnosis, structure and treatment of the Tick-borne Encephalitis + Virus. There are three varieties of tick-borne encephalitis + virus that are found in Europe and Asia but no accurate annual incidence rate exists due to the only available data coming from each country itself. The tick itself has three lifecycles where infection of a mammal can occur. Generally once a human is infected, it is not possible to infect another human. Symptoms do not develop till the incubation period. Initial symptoms are similar to influenza i.e. fevers, malaise and headaches. Diagnosis of TBEV is done through blood tests. TPEV is part of the Flaviviridae family. Currently there is no drug available to treat the illness with the majority of symptoms mitigated with painkillers.

Overall, the information has a lot of depth but I would try to make the information more digestible for readers and edit sections to their most pertinent information. Some ways of making a more digestible text could be having a short introduction at the beginning offering a concise overview of the various sections before leading to the sections itself like in this article: Tick-borne encephalitis, breaking up sections into smaller paragraphs with topic sentences, and reducing jargon and scientific words to allow audiences to better understand the text (e.g. biphasic symptomatology to two phases of symptoms) It would also be worthwhile to look at other wikipedia entries of this sort to get an idea of how the information should be structured i.e. common cold begins with signs and symptoms, then cause, then pathophysiology etc.

I can't tell if this text is a new article with a plus sign in the title but generally much of the information would be useful in the Tick-borne encephalitis virus or Tick-borne encephalitis articles. Lee.eric.neu (talk) 20:19, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
