I edited this article a lot and tried my best to keep it as concise and informative as other university articles. Please read other articles of reputable universities (such as University of Manchester, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and so on) to see how they were edited and organized. DON'T directly quote sentences from university's official website because the English they used to introduce the university is quite Chinglish.I really hope someone else can improve NWAFU's article on Wikipedia but please don't make it worse.

Comparing to other university's article, the current article of NWAFU lacks of organized information/paragraphs about the campus, students life (students' union, societies, sports), academic profile (research, library, collections, rankings and reputation), administration and organization, and notable people. Some pictures can make the article more colourful and more interesting to read.

I assume you are/were a student of NWAFU and hope you make the article better.

Your argument about the introduction of Northwest A&F University

Obviously we can't get agreement on the introduction of Northwest A&F University.

The English introduction of NWAFU indeed claimed itself as a 'comprehensive' university but this introduction showed inconsistency with what the university really is.

Based on the name of NWAFU, it is not accurate to call it a 'comprehensive' university. Actually, many universities especially the famous ones never introduce themselves as 'comprehensive' universities. Each university has its limits. Those universities are aware of this clearly and humbly present themselves with fact-based introduction. I don't understand why NWAFU's English introduction (written in Chinglish and is not updated) is so arrogant to claim itself as a 'comprehensive' university. In fact, this is really ridiculous. Besides, there are many problems with this Chinglish introduction and that's why I do not recommend direct quotation from that. You have already been warned by another user for direct 'copy' and 'paste' from other websites. Hope you can make progress in the future.

China Agricultural University can be called a top ranked university in China. As you may have noticed, it is a 'key national university'. You may argue the introduction of CAU is also Chinglish but I think at least CAU didn't want to mislead readers at this point.

In addition, you can find that NWAFU aims to be a world-class agricultural university if you read the Chinese introduction of NWAFU.

I don't think 'it is ridiculous to refer to an another university's website but not A&F's itself'. Actually, the reference I cited is quite helpful for you to understand why it is better to delete 'comprehensive' in the introduction.

You seemed to be very angry because you may not understand why your version of introduction is not approved even you cited a so called 'official'source. The problem is never about the method of writing a Wiki article, but the skill to write a good article with fidelity. When the source is not very consistent with the facts, why should you still believe it without questioning?

You can discuss with people around you and ask them why NWAFU is a 'comprehensive' university with 'A&F' in its title? Texas A&M University is a reputable university around the world. But TAMU never denied it is a land-grant university. Actually, this is the cornerstone of present TAMU which has made loads of achievements in agriculture and other sciences. NWAFU is an agricultural university and this is what NWAFU should be proud of.

If you still don't understand, a discussion with your friends with cool minds should be very helpful.
