Your topic ban

Benjiboi, we're three days short of the one month mark. I've made you an offer to open a thread at WP:AE on your behalf if there weren't any further problems, and there haven't been - in fact I'm impressed with how gracefully you've handled this situation. So three days shouldn't matter; would you like me to open the request to lift the restriction now?

Also, I want you to hear it from me that Matt Sanchez was one of the guests on a Not the Wikipedia Weekly skypecast I hosted today. You might want to listen once it's uploaded; I've opened a thread on WP:AN to sound out the community about the proper way to present the recording. Not the Wikipedia Weekly is unbiased: if you'd like to come on our next skypecast I'd be glad to have you. I've been away due to my house having burned down March 21, and just came to know of this issue. Of course, it doesn't surprise me that Durova is involved - Durova is involved in all things Matt Sanchez and anyone can read "biased" in my assessment because that's what I'm essentially saying. After having read the related discussions (or tyranny, depending on how you look at them), your ban is a farce. I will suggest you do as I have done.. remove all things Matt Sanchez from your watchlist. It's a losing battle to keep that article un-biased. NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt

It definitely should have project tag but I'm not comfortable doing any editing until my ban is cleared up. Feel free to add a tag or ask others to at the LGBT project page. If my ban is reversed I'll be happy to lend a hand there's a few books and at least one documentary on the quilt so there should be enough sources to build a decent article there. Per your request, in this diff your entire message on my talk page is "are you chris crocker?" A day later on the talk page of the Crocker article you wrote in this diff - "Also you have very serious POV issues since you are Chris Crocker." Crocker, if you hadn't seen it in the article, gets near-daily death threats so I encourage you to cease from accusing anyone' of being Crocker as death threats are not to be taken lightly. I actually wasn't defending anyone as much as explaining to you that the incest angle was indeed a hoax. That editor was correct in removing the content as we delete non-reliably sourced negative information about biographies of living people, even the talk pages. If you had asked "I saw a video in which he kisses his brother, why isn't it included" the comment likely would have stayed and been answered. Interesting. You may want to rethink how you're interacting with other editors. We work by concensus where often differing opinions collide and we need to work together to sort out how to approach a problem to make the encyclopedia better. One of the pillars we have is WP:Civility because it makes working together work better. Yes, and no, about this example and semantics. Semantically and tone-wise the approach could be less confrontational. Instead of saying Crocker is incestuous you could ask this seems to be the point of this video - is it true. I actually think Crocker is pretty gifted and quite gutsy for putting himself out there in such a manner. Intelligence can be found in many forms and he's no dummy in my book. We each learn in our own way and find different ways to express ourselves - he's a performer and a gifted one at that and I think will be appreciated more as others try to copy what he does. Not sure if he'll translate his skills into something more acceptable to mainstream public but time will tell.

Why were u banned? (And how can u edit pages if u've been banned) I've noticed ur a diligent editor of our LGBT Studies WP, and u mention homophobia and transphobia in ur getting banned, so I thought I'd ask. Admin Guy (JzG) topic-banned me from Matt Sanchez citing a Morton's Fork, believe it or not, that the subject of that BLP, was distressed by my presence there. I was never warned or cautioned and the trigger incident seems to show I was on the side of reason so the whole matter has done nothing but wasted a lot of time and brought me unneeded wikistress. It has opened my eyes a bit more and made me more sensitive to admin abuse so to that I guess I've learned something. Matt Sanchez, is a former gay porn star amongst other things. He used to edit here as well until he was community-banned for personal attacks amongst other violations. Since then he has apparently been taking opportunities to make his concerns known through the OTRS system regarding myself and other editors. More than all his personal attacks, and what I see as wikistalking of me I find the topic ban stressful as the admin seemed to pride themself on getting people banned and didn't bother to dialog with me to let me know there was any issue involving my editing. Also thanks for watching out for the, possibly related attacks, against David, I hope he finds a way to return as his works have been a huge help to wikipedia. Banjeboi 01:13, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
