Survey & Ballot Systems

A tag has been placed on Survey & Ballot Systems, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Survey & Ballot Systems and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Wuhwuzdat (talk) 18:15, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Let's talk.

Proposed deletion of Survey & Ballot Systems

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Survey & Ballot Systems, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

This appears to be an article written like a marketing pitch and not notable. It appears to be "sourced" entirely by self published sources and the company's website. The article has multiple issues and no one is improving the article.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. COI

Benjamin,

Can I ask your relationship with S&BS? Not sure if it applies, but I would encourage you to read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Electiontechnology (talk) 23:06, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

I've worked closely with them in years past, however, I don't think that this would apply unless it was obvious I was looking to advance the interests of the organization over those of Wikipedia. Rather, I think that I am looking to advance the encyclopedic nature of WP by expanding an area of WP that, as you said yourself, is underrepresented in Wikipedia. In addition, I recommend for you to review the pages on harassment, specifically Wikihounding. Benjamin Dominic (talk) 23:46, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Benjamin, I'm a little confused here. You posted on MY talk page and I responded. I wasn't the one who nominated you're article for speedy deletion and I hope you don't take personally. The COI guidelines were a suggestion, and if you say they don't apply, I will take you're word and assume good faith. I'm still not sure what hounding or harassment you could possibly be referring to, but if you wish to end communication I will not object. Electiontechnology (talk) 00:40, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
