Speedy deletion declined: User:Shyam Durai Raj

edit

Hello Bellokool. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:Shyam Durai Raj, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: this is a user page, not an article, so A criteria like A7 do not apply. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 13:19, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yes, adding {{user page}} was the right thing to do. In fact, since this evidently a WP:FAKEARTICLE and the user has no other contributions, I have nominated it at WP:Miscellany for deletion/User:Shyam Durai Raj.
One other point: when you tag a page for speedy deletion, you should copy to the author's talk page the notice that is generated towards the bottom of the speedy template when it is expanded on the article page. In this case, just as well you didn't, because it would have confused him, but it is good practice normally. Thanks for patrolling new pages - a very important and useful activity. There is good advice for speedy taggers from an experienced admin at WP:10CSD and WP:A7M. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 14:22, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Noted. Thank you. Bellokool (talk) 17:57, 26 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:IRQS-logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:28, 29 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Patrick McGuire (solicitor)

edit

The article Patrick McGuire (solicitor) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This seems like a CV of he rotine sort of law work one would expect from a personal injury solicitor. There's no claim to notability. None of the refs, as far as I can see, are about the subject; they are about the issues and litigation in which the subect had some involvement in.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
