Le Combat dans l'île moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Le Combat dans l'île, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. noq (talk) 18:18, 2 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

August 2023 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as Talk:WikiTree are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Thanks. —DIYeditor (talk) 08:17, 4 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

@DIYeditor Thanks for the tip. It can indeed be tempting to wander off into general discussion, but it was my fear that discussion of this article was heading in a bad direction which triggered my appeal for dispute resolution. Belle Fast (talk) 11:16, 4 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Deletion is the right thing to do in a case like this. Fewer editors will be watching the page and it will attract WP:COI, WP:PROMO and WP:SOAP editors who may reach a "consensus" that is nonsense. I suggest the noticeboards like WP:RS/N and WP:NPOV/N as well. Or if it gets hectic, no harm in going to WP:ANI. —DIYeditor (talk) 11:30, 4 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Done Hello, Belle Fast. Thank you for your work on Henry Bromflete. User:Nolabob, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Nice "start class" article. My only suggestion (totally at your discretion) is that his notability appears that his death marked the end of the title. That is certainly implied in the article as written. If I'm correct with that interpretation, you might make that point more explicit. Again, nice work.
