July 2018: school ranking lists edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! You have edited a series of articles on Texas counties by adding lists of "school rankings." Wikipedia is not a directory or a yellow pages, and this is not the sort of content that belongs in an encyclopedia article. Please notice that none of those articles previously had a section of the sort you added; that was intentional.

Wikipedia comes with all sorts of welcoming materials for new editors, with links to documents where you can read about our content policies and standards (I particularly recommend this one); another good option is to read through some well-written articles that already exist and get a sense of the type of content we're going for here. If you have any questions or concerns about the ways in which you can contribute to this project, please ask (you can reply here or on my talk page).-Bryanrutherford0 (talk) 18:00, 10 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please don't add any more school ranking lists. These are not the sort of encyclopedic content that we want in Wikipedia, and they threaten to look like attempts to build search engine optimization for texasschoolguide.org. Any more that are added will continue to be removed. Please learn more about the encyclopedia's standards and policies before adding any further content.-Bryanrutherford0 (talk) 16:38, 17 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
