December 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Bobov (Hasidic dynasty), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you.   You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Bobov_(Hasidic_dynasty). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Shmaltz (talk) 19:49, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Starting off edit

You seem to be starting off in one of Wikipedia's more contentious articles. This is fine, but you should be especially careful of the policies I mention above. Every article has a talk page available by clicking the discussion tab at the top. This page is dedicated to discussing how the article can be improved based on the available reliable sources and in accordance with an editorially neutral point of view. In the long run, forming a consensus at Talk:Bobov (Hasidic dynasty) will be much more productive than simply undoing another editor's contributions. As well, you should be aware that labeling another user's edits as vandalism except in cases of violations of the linked policy is generally considered rude and should be avoided. Based on your username, I also encourage you to read the conflict of interest guideline. - 2/0 (cont.) 21:26, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
