Added Categories to Categories
If a category isn't added to a category and should be, you can add them instead of putting them in "uncategorized." I'm sure there is enough of a backlog without adding to it. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 18:39, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
- I would have to know what categories were suitable parents for it, wouldn't I? I mean, sure, I'll just categorize the category myself if I already know right off the top of my head what the appropriate parents would be, but if I don't have that preexisting knowledge already, then it isn't my job to go exploring the category system to find a niche for it, or to spend five minutes trying a succession of speculative guesses: my job in that case is "get it into the cleanup queue and walk away". - You see "champions" in the category name, right? You go to the article and see which promotions have promoted the title. You (insert promotion here) champions for the category. - When I'm working with category cleanup, between uncategorized categories and redlinked categories and draft or userpages in categories there are inevitably around a thousand items to deal with each time new reports get generated, because the batch reports only run a couple of times a week rather than daily. Under those circumstances, I have absolutely no responsibility to let any individual page take up more than four or five seconds of my time.
I mean, I'll grant that to you it looks like it's just one page, because you're only seeing me tag the page you created. You're not seeing the 1,000 categorization errors that are listed on the batch reports I'm working with, which means it's already going to take me at least one hour (and more likely two) to get through all of them even under the quickest "tag and move on" solution possible — so I simply do not have a responsibility to turn a one-hour job into an eight-hour job by spending eight times as long with each individual page. With the added bonus that if I don't get them all cleaned up before the next time a new batch report runs, then the carryovers plus all the new problems will add up to two thousand issues to fix next time instead of one, making it even worse.
So if I have a thousand pages to deal with, I have to be able to get through them in the absolute quickest "wham, bam, next" manner possible, and nobody is entitled to give me any stick about it. Especially since you're the one who created the category, meaning that it was your responsibility to ensure that it was in the proper parent categories in the first place, and not my responsibility to fix that for you after the fact. Just hoping for admin eyes on User:Dzkk9 - (assuming food faith) appears to be a new user with low understanding of en.wp norms. Seems to be on a course of producing unreferenced, unencyclopedic content which looks very much like vandalism.

Thanks for removing the categories
... as it implications of categorizing a user page weren't clear to me.
However, this also resulted in me losing ~45 minutes of work when I saved and hit the conflict (for unknown reasons the diff was empty.)
I suggest that a note on someone's talk page is a more considerate way to address the problem.

I was in a dilemma about how to describe Richard Lush for the stub notification. Australian "singer" as previously found was clearly wrong. I was not sure about "musician", since he doesn't play an instrument or write music professionally. But perhaps your "musician" is closest for a recording engineer & producer?
