Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Cockburn You Are Here (2010 film) again

Hi Bearcat, I've been figuring out how to import images from the Commons. I've read the regs over and over and can't figure out if the directions they are giving are for using images outside the Wiki projects or if they include rules for using images i.e. acknowledging non public domain images within the project too, and if so--how? Actually, what I was referring to was taking images from Commons and using htem in Wikipedia. They are all labelled various levels from public domain to different codes requiring different forms of attribution/permissions, but I've been working under the assumption that those rules only apply to using the image for a non-Wiki-related purpose, that I don't have to ask permission or make attributions on Wikipedia itself? Fast Layne

Hi Bearcat, I have a problem on my edits. I was editing on the article called "Fast Layne". And User:Amaury was reverting my good edits very quickly that is not vandalism into Amaury's version of the article. Could you talk to User:Amaury to challenge the edit. The upcoming Disney Channel miniseries was filmed in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, not Vancouver. I put bot categories Category:Television series produced in British Columbia" and "Category:Maple Ridge, British Columbia". The filming location was already sourced from a newspaper website in Maple Ridge, British Columbia called the "Maple Ridge News" under "Production". Please talk to User:Amary to challenge the edit and do not revert into the user's own version that is not vandalism it was not helpful and do not follow the Fast Layne revert the edits. I don't want User:Amaury to give me a warning. Challlenge the edit and the Fast Layne article will be solved. Hi. Regarding the deletion of MrSuicideSheep, I can confirm that reliable source do exist. I don't know if you're well informed regarding popular EDM sites, but "Your EDM" is a relevant and reliable source within the EDM community. So is "EDM.com" and "Stereogum.com" (they're not referenced in the article, but see WP:NEXIST). You claiming that The Georgia Straight is the only "reliable source" is ignorant. I've also said that his number of followers ALONE did not make him notable (as I told Roscelese on her talk page), but also the fact that he is one of the most relevant and important music figures on YouTube. Notability is based on the existence of suitable sources, not the state of sourcing of an article, and many other sources that aren't referenced on the article do exist on the web that re-affirm his relevancy in the community. I don't understand why you think the article should be deleted, instead of improved. A simple google search can show you that this is a respectable and well-known music curator, with many reliable EDM sites as sources of information. Billy Hathorn articles

While I wasn't editing four years ago I did recently read his ANI because recently I've been going through local and county-level officials in an attempt to eliminate articles that were created for the purpose of campaigning and you run into a lot of Billy Hathorn articles when you do that. I've been AfD-ing them but have considered PROD/Speed-Deleting them instead for some of the more blatant ones. Just wondering if you think AfD is the best course of action. Your Thoughts on an article Vincent Harris (political strategist)

I've been trying to make the article less promotional but not entirely sure it can be saved, given the subject has openly admitted to editing Wikipedia to benefit his clients. I'm considering WP:TNT-ing it through an AfD, given he might actually be notable but I don't think there's any way for the page not to read like an ad without starting from scratch. Defunct stations/merges

The RfC I'm running on (defunct) in radio station article titles actually was how I found this particular gem. There seem to be a good number of station articles eligible for obvious merges into the article of the actual frequency, e.g. KABR (defunct) -> KGIM (AM), KACD-FM (defunct) -> KDLD, KOOV (defunct) -> KSSM. This seems to be a particular problem with stations in and around Los Angeles, BTW. Raymie (t • c) 18:57, 20 February 2019 (UTC)

Remove protection

Hi, on March 18, 2014 you have protected Eaton's page for persistent vandalism. You should remove this protection because after 5 years, users who made vandalism are probably disappeared from Wikipedia. Generally, the protections added have an expiration date. "xxxx in yyyy" linkages

Hi Bearcat. MelanieN suggested I might touch base with you since you appear to have an interest in radio articles. I attempt to make corrections on every article I touch. Whether it's filling in raw links, adding a short description, fixing dashes, harmonizing dates, stub sorting, occasionally de-orphaning, whatever. In doing my daily dab fixing, there were about 20 or so articles that when I used the WP script to harmonize dates in an article, it also automatically delinks "Year in yyyy" from where it is simply used for the year. Another editor took exception, but didn't really provide a valid answer as to why they were objecting. When they made the statement, "That’s not the way we do things", I thought it might be something specific to that project. There was an edit I made sometime last year (maybe the year before), about a ship's name. The edit was reverted, and rightly so, since I didn't know about the naming policy of ships, which seems to be slightly different from general naming guidelines. So I checked on the project page, and the infobox for radio stations, and couldn't find any guideline which said to use "Year in yyyy". I also posted a question on Teahouse, Linking to "Year in XXXX" articles when giving years, to see if there was a specific guideline, to which NinjaRobotPirate promptly provided guidance. I asked the editor again to provide some back-up for his position. Instead of doing so, they opened an ANI discussion. Sorry to be so long-winded, but to the crux of the matter, is there some type of project specific position on using "Year in yyyy"? If so, I'd just rather say mea culpa and close the ANI.
