Your edit to Latchkey kid
editI have reverted your edit to this article as it has been getting a great deal of unsourced vandalism recently. If your edit was something that you can include a source for, please feel free to replace it on the article, but also provide a link as the other sourced items on the page. --Brian G (Talk) 01:18, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I was going to change the page back, but I was blocked. I also have contributed to wikipedia by removing a broken link from another page. I think an infinite ban goes too far. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bear.owned2 (talk • contribs) 16:35, 15 August 2006
- I am not an admin, but I am willing to WP:AGF here and presume that this user made a mistake on their first edit and are prepared to contribute positively going forward. I would think it would be OK to unblock with the understanding by bear.owner2 that there will be no tolerance of further vandalism and expect that they will edit responsibly or face little leniency in the future. --Brian G (Talk) 17:16, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'm afraid we have been operating a policy of zero-tolerance of anybody adding anything to Wikipedia at the instructions of Mr Colbert (as you did to the Latchkey kid article). The reasoning appears to be that if you can't be trusted not to insert an untruth into an encyclopedia because some dullbob on television told you to, then you can't really be trusted with editing at all. I have no opinion on this policy, but there it is. ➨ ЯEDVERS 17:46, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Even Sergey Brin did it. I saw a video where he admits to that. As a matter of fact, it is linked to from his wikipedia entry. My opinion is that this whole thing is asinine.
