Your edits to USC

I respect your mission, so let me go over why I'm reverting most of your edits to USC (I will also copy this into the talk page for futher confusion):

• 1st edit: The term "most selective" is a term used by US News (also cited in the article), but I'm looking at the 2006 ed. hard copy and it's listed on page 148: "most selevtive" (this info is also available online for 2007[1], citation now added). There is no challenge to USC's diversity claim either, please see page 47 of the US News' index of Racial Diversity, National Universities. I did remove the excessive "only". Again, all legitimate reverts but one word.
• 2nd edit: Again, this can be all proven with this citation, to the University of Florida's TheCenter (no space), which produces the reliable numbers for university facts like these. See The Top American Research Universities (2005), page 34 (pdf, most recent). (Incidently, I learned about this group when I sat on the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota as a student rep in grad school... this was what the Regents there monitored, but it's also cited by USC President Steven Sample. I was troubled by your deletion of the last sentence in that edit, which actually cited TheCenter.
• 3rd edit: Citations added where needed, corrected where there was confusion with the graduate programs (several kept removed). However, I am retaining correct citations by schools that have ranked themselves (I mean, if you're accusing USC of fraud, that's a far bigger issue than lack of citation --especially since some of these citations do cite the US News). I also added entrepreneurship since I was looking. I corrected the mistake in engineering, it was also a reference on that USC page to the graduate program, but I found the US News cite. The USC film school didn't really need to introduce itself, but its own page will have to do.

Here's a suggestion that you may agree with: consider throwing some {{fact}} tags in for a bit before you go through and make deletions so you can give those of us who monitor these articles regularly a chance to respond (in a few days), then if nothing you can start hacking away like a editorial axe-murder (okay, bad analogy ;-) ). Heh, you got to it before I could make'em all and I didn't notice... just to clarify the 1st edit: the term "most selective" is a term used by the US News (since I started reading it in '95) to categorize admissions based on percentages accepted --it's stated as such in its own US News citation which I have added in my revert. While I'm glad you've prompted the addition of citations, please consider the fact-tag I mentioned above. Thanks again. --Bobak 23:50, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

My name is Astuishin, I am glad to see you've been making edits to the Washington U. page. I wanted to warn you that a number of users editing the page have strong ties to the University including CLyerla who is shockingly Washington University's Web Editor. I having been feuding with her attempts to make the Washington U. article nothing short of a university brochure for the past month and just wanted to warn you about her.
