Conflict of Interest

edit

  Hello, BePowerTech. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. People with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, see the conflict of interest guideline and frequently asked questions for organizations. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, its competitors, or projects and products you or they are involved with;
  • instead, propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing, and autobiographies. Thank you.

  • Also note that your username violates the wp:Username policy -- you cannot have a username that is the same as the name of a company or organization, because it 1) does not indicate an individual and 2) is considered a form of advertising. You can simply adopt a different username to resolve this. LaMona (talk) 15:51, 28 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Continued editing under BePowerTech

edit

Although warned both about COI and your username, you've continued to edit the article in your sandbox, and it appears that you submitted your sandbox for reviewing. There are a couple of problems here. First, you still need to change your username and to declare your conflict of interest. The information is all in the original COI information that I placed here. Second, when submitted to AfC for review, a sandbox is supposed to become a draft article. Why that sometimes does not happen I do not know, but it does. I could copy it to draft space, but I will not do so while you are editing in violation of the COI and namespace policies. You need to say what your relationship is with the company, and you need to change your username. LaMona (talk) 19:27, 23 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. MER-C 12:47, 12 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
