November 2008 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Squirrel do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Dr.K. (talk) 02:32, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Links to businesses. edit

Please, before editing again, see Wikipedia:FAQ/Business

While there are numerous policies that we enforce (Wikipedia:External links for instance), I think the Business FAQ should answer most of your questions. Please note that users that continually add unnecessary corporate links tend to lose editing privileges. Thanks. Kylu (talk) 02:50, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. GraemeL (talk) 03:07, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Dr.K. (talk) 03:10, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Muskrat. Say Headcheese!--hexaChord2 03:11, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy because your account is being used only for spam, advertising, or promotion. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. GraemeL (talk) 03:14, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

skunk be gone page edit

Hi - it looks like you've already found out about Wiki rules for posting commercial sites as external links. That was the reason that I reverted your edit a while ago. However, your comment on my talk page presents yet another reason, and that is that you are connected in some way to this company, which is also a violation of Wiki rules - self-promotion. There is yet another problem - you asked me to reply to your personal/business email. Things are not done that way on Wiki - editors have a screen identity, but are not required, nor should they, reveal their personal contact info. That's what these talk pages are for. None of this is to say that the info on your pages is wrong or not referenced, but it appears that your primary purpose was to promote your website. I hope this makes sense to you - if not feel free to ask any questions on my talk page. Bob98133 (talk) 18:26, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
