License tagging for Image:Tets.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Tets.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:08, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Tets edit

A tag has been placed on Tets, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ryanpostlethwaite contribs/talk 11:30, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:Greater-mumbai-map.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Greater-mumbai-map.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:56, 5 August 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 04:56, 5 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image:Architecture of CRM.JPG edit

I noticed the very nice diagram you created for Customer relationship management. Our practice on Wikipedia is not to use images with email "watermarks" such as the one you placed on that image. The watermarks make our encyclopdia pages look unprofessional, and might limit the ways in which others who want a professional appearance can use the images.

We believe attribution is very important. Authors of text are given attribution on the article history page, and authors of images are given attribution on the image description pages. Anyone who reuses our content must also give credit to all authors, according to licenses such as GFDL and CC-BY.

We gladly provide full attribution, including your name, email address, and any other contact information of your choice, on the image description page. However, we will not be able to use the current version of the image, because of the watermark. I hope that you will consider uploading a non-watermarked version. — Carl (CBM · talk) 16:01, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

At your request, I deleted the image. I'm sorry that this situation turned out poorly; the diagram was very nice. — Carl (CBM · talk) 04:14, 1 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
