Copyright problem: ARINC 825

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as ARINC 825, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. ARINC 825 content release

Hi. I saw you posted a message at Talk:ARINC 825 indicating the material is being released under an appropriate license. I've left a message there with instructions for how to officially designate this. In a nutshell, you need to follow Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. Hi Whqp, thanks for the assistance. I have read that section but I am not sure what to do. Would it be OK if I place a message on my website www.arinc825.com saying that the use of its content is granted for Wikipedia and add a link to the ARINC 825 Wikipedia entry? Things can be a little confusing! You have two choices:

1. You can place an explicit release on your website (or specific web pages) that states "The text of this website (or page, if you are specifically releasing one section) is available for modification and reuse under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License and the GNU Free Documentation License (unversioned, with no invariant sections, front-cover texts, or back-cover texts)."
2. Send an email declaring that you are releasing the material under a Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0. See Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries which includes a sample email. Then add {{OTRS pending}} the the article talk page to let others know that permisssion has been sent and is pending reviwe.

Personally, I'd recommend option 2 (email) as it provides a permanent record here at Wikipedia. I hope this helps. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 12:19, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

I suspect that they have queues of emails to go through. You don't need to do anything further at this point. The article won't be deleted as the OTRS pending notice shows that permission has been sent and is awaiting processing by the OTRS team. Once that's done, they'll log the permission on the article talk page, and the article will be back. -- Whpq (talk) 14:54, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
