Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   or   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:46, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

stub tags

Hi, In this edit you added a {{stub}} tag to an article which already has a specific stub tag. Please don't do this as it just wastes other editors' time. Please also note that stub tags go at the end of the article, not the top (see WP:ORDER): if you go to the right place to put it you are more likely to notice that there's one there already! Welcome to WP and Happy Editing. There's a lot to learn but it's an interesting journey. PamD 07:17, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Bill Willis, Cleveland Browns lineman, in 1951.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Bill Willis, Cleveland Browns lineman, in 1951.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:08, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Wikipedia Help Survey

Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.

Thank you for your time,

African women's national football teams

I submit my thesis on Monday so I might need some time to respond, but I'm not opposed to it. Most of the articles have similar issues and some of the text is pretty similar because of continent wide issues that explain why a team does not formally exist or has a very short playing history. There is a fair amount of source overlap across them. So on some level, it makes sense to kind of do more of a bulk review. I'd kind of like to get them out of the way. Just so long as each review gets done well enough, I'm okay with it. :) (On the other hand, bulk failing because teams do not exist/have little playing history would be... annoying. That's my concern.) I've tried to be as thorough as possible with each one I nominated (though always room for improvement). I didn't nominate ones I didn't think were complete... so yeah. Feel free to go for it. :) It would help some with the backlog I've created in sports. ;) --LauraHale (talk) 11:36, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

I can guarantee I won't bulk fail them because the teams either don't exist yet or have short histories, unless the refs aren't there. I already see there are refs, and I presume they're good ones. Notability isn't a GA discussion. So here's what I'll do. I'll put them all under review and begin to do the work. I anticipate that there will be some relatively minor issues with prose clarity and conciseness. I'll make some edits myself in stages (with summaries), and invite you to revert if you don't like them. Then I'll tackle some of the broader themes and other possible issues (breadth, focus, and other things like that). I may make suggestions that apply to all the articles. As the process commences, I'll put them all on hold, and will allow time for responses until at least a week after Monday given that you're busy. If all goes well, we'll get them to GA en masse.--Batard0 (talk) 12:01, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Are any of these open still? I can't recall and can't find them if they are. :( --LauraHale (talk) 06:22, 3 July 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. Forgot I could check there. Moment of idiocy. --LauraHale (talk) 06:34, 3 July 2012 (UTC)

Sacrifice

I ask you to please re-open the review for Sacrifice (2005) as I'm sure there were gonna be issues as its 4 months old. I've done tons of these and I'm sure all the issues can be taken care of very easily. It took 4 months just to get the review afterall.--WillC 07:12, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

I was unaware of the review until tonight. I usually check every few days but my laptop died last month and I just now got it repaired. I'm glad to see it reviewed though. If I had known a few days prior I would have fixed them on the 25th.--WillC 07:14, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Super X Cup

I see you reviewed both of the articles. I'm fine with fixing all the issues. I assumed there would be. I got too use to the articles so I couldn't find the issues. Hoped GA would help me see them. I've done about 20 or 30 GAs so I know these can both become GA. I have my laptop back so if you don't mind continuing both reviews I'll be sure to get all issues you find fixed right away. Any questions you have I am sure I can answer. Some of the issues I've seen raised have to do with format consensus or consistency with other articles. Try to look at the most recent FA, Turning Point (2008) for a reference point. I may be a bit biased there as I wrote that as well haha--WillC 07:18, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Alright, well give me a day or 2. Tuesday at tops. I'm in college so the amount of issues is surprising. I must get a speech wrote for class by Monday done so tomorrow is a lost. By Tuesday I'll be sure to handle all the issues. I guess I'll relist Sacrifice once all the issues have been solved that are mentioned. I've been active for a while. I was in the Wikicup but nothing was getting reviewed I had listed so I just focused on school. When my laptop died that cut some of my time down by alot. I had been waiting to hear for a review but I never did. Figured everyone was ignoring them. I had actually checked just a few days ago. I think I checked the day you started the Sacrifice review. Must have checked prior to you doing it.--WillC 07:43, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
Alrighty, I shall get to all the concerns as soon as possible.--WillC 21:06, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
Hey thanks for passing the cup. I'll get to work on Sacrifice here in a few days and nominate it. I'll let you know then.--WillC 20:53, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
No problem - let me know when it's ready...--Batard0 (talk) 21:11, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Cleveland Memory images

Regarding your comments at WP:MCQ some days ago — when you upload images from the Cleveland Memory Project with fair use claims, be sure to include the {{Non-free with NC}} template on them. This will show that Wikipedia has full permission to use the images and that the only reason we can't use them unrestrictedly is our own policies. As a result, people aren't likely to attempt to have them deleted for "violating commercial opportunities", since the copyright holder is happy for us to use them. Currently, its assessment is stub. The most recent changes should merit a reconsideration of a nomination to delete and possibly a raise in status from stub to start. In particular, your comment about industry notes was particularly helpful as that actually pointed me to his greatest strength and helped pave the way for a context to unfold after the details were sorted through! Kumar Parakala

Batard0, Hi there, The http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Kumar_Parakala was an archived discussion. I see that yesterday you had messaged me with the article being considered for deletion and it said it will be on for 7 days but it has been deleted already. The previous article was written by somebody else and was promotional in tone. It was deleted on 23rd May 2011 but the new article i wrote was within the parameters of wiki. There were proper references and citations. Please look into it and compare the articles if you can. I have been in contact with wikipedia through out the process but never was it mentioned. Please look into it and undelete it. PriyankaLewis (talk) 08:06, 26 September 2012 (UTC)Priyanka Lewis
