Edit Summary edit

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

Please stop edit

Please stop violating the manual of style. A consensus was developed how to deal with these and you are not conforming to it. JoshuaZ 20:32, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please stop, if you think further discussion is warranted discuss it on the MOS page but for now this is the consensus and you are ignoring it in a disruptive fashion. If you continue you may be blocked. JoshuaZ 20:38, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
You appear to be a new user so it may not be as obvious to you when Wikipedia has reached a consensus. If you think no consensus has been reached it is then best to discuss on the talk page more rather than make unilateral changes. JoshuaZ 20:43, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Basketdove, when users come to your talk page to give advice, it is often meant to be helpfull and contstructive. I think this is one of those times. The manual of style is here so that a unified style can exist across an encyclopedia written by tens of thousands of people. Thanks. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 20:47, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Please stop to add honorific prefixes in the opening of articles, please read Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies)#Honorific prefixes. Doing that further, will be considered as vandalism, and may result in a block, thanks. ~~ Phoe talk 21:15, 13 November 2006 (UTC) ~~ Reply

Your disruption edit

In less than two hours you managed to cause quite a bit of disruption to Wikipedia, creating work for other editors. If you continue with disruption you may be blocked from editing. The choice is yours. Moriori 20:59, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
